Hasn't Bayern been mostly sellers, not buyers in big transactions?

Kane isn't a spring chicken any more. What do the Spurs want for him?

Bayern are usually buyers, but they are used to dealing with other Bundesliga teams. They normally ‘bully’ teams to get the players they want for a decent fee, but they’ve learned that you can’t really do that with Prem teams especially Tottenham.

Kane is still a top striker regardless of what’s said about him, I think he’ll do well for Bayern if he decides to join them

Kane to Bayern fix according to german media.

Edit:
Or rather: Tottenham and Bayern have agreed on a transfer. Now Kane has to agree.

Actually, most of their new big signings in recent years have been from outside of the Bundesliga with a few Leipzig and Dortmund signings in between.

Ward Prowse is better than Declan for me. Fantastic signing. Harry Maguire is an excellent CB when used correctly and I think he will be by West Ham. They looked really shaky in pre-season and I was worried for them but these two buys will keep them safe.

But what about Wolves?

If West Ham defend in a low block then I could see Maguire being useful. But if they attempt to play anything resembling a high line, he'll continue to get caught out as he has with United, but I don't think they will given that Zouma and Aguerd aren't ideal for that either.

I will say that he has been consistently excellent for England, though. If he regains some form it might turn out to be a decent deal. He can play freely without the £80m/United captain stigma.

According to various credible sources, Kane has accepted the move to Bayern and is on his way to have a medical.

100m is good business for a 30 year old player with one year left on his contract, but it doesn't really take the sting out of it. Not really sure what to think. It's a sad day.

I don't think I've ever seen translators for the international players in the NBA, though there probably are some.

Certainly must be translators in all the big football leagues.

Ohtani has been playing in the US for 4-5 years, still seems to speak through translators.

Can someone verify this? I do not have a Twitter account.

David Ornstein@David_Ornstein
Liverpool reach agreement with Brighton to sign Moises Caicedo for British record £110m. #BHAFC held auction using midnight deadline. #LFC highest bidder, #CFC at £100m. Personal terms a formality + medical planned for Friday in Liverpool @TheAthleticFC

If true...

Not a big scorer so what's the relevant metric, he wins a high rate of balls or completes passes which lead to goals?

He's got a great profile for a 6, or the deepest midfielder. Great work rate, quite good at breaking up play defensively (not prime Fabinho level at this point in his career), excellent ball retention when he does win it back, and a very good passer. And he's young. Basically, exactly what Liverpool want as a Fabinho replacement.

I'm not an expert. But that seems like a lot of money.

A tremendous amount of money, but thankfully it's not my money. Plus you're hoping you get a decade out of him since he's not yet 22 and the price seems a bit more reasonable and in line with other elite young midfielders.

Generally Basketball players from countries outside the US are more intelligent than Footballers. Also most countries teach English at school from a young level but for some reason in Europe, boys who are good at football don't work well on their languages, whilst good basketballers do.

It is a lot of money as is the 100m for a 30 year old Kane.

The money in football is mad. Never would I think that some of the most expensive transfers around are now holding midfielders by trade.

It wasn’t that long ago Klopp was criticising £100ms signings lol
