Miranda-Abraham 2

Post#1 » by rickj82 » Wed Jun 18, 2008 1:35 am

Hey guys i am new here. Big fight this weekend, Miranda-Abraham 2. I scored this fight 115-108 the first time around for Abraham. So i had him winning even without the point deductions. I love Miranda and want him to win, but i think he can only win by a KO. If he couldn't KO Abraham with a broken jaw around the first time how can he do it this time? That is what floats in my head/ Anyways my heart says Miranda by a KO but brain says Abraham by another decision, lets see what happens

I want Abraham to win in order for him to fight Pavlik. It would be the best fight for the sport in my opinion outside of Cotto/DeLahoya.

Here are clips from the first fight in english commentary.

It is going to be a brawl. forget that it is going to be a dogfight. I never thought too much of Abraham before that fight( he should have lost by stoppage and Newman is the worst ref in boxing) but he has proven that he is a legit fighter with KO power. He has some wicked KO's. There is one thing I know about him, he went thru hell and still made it out of the fight with a broken jaw. We have seen the pics. He isn't a pussy. I mean not to knock MMA fighters but how many guys could endure over half and hour of that type of punishment with a broken jaw.

Abraham is the better boxer but isn't scared to let it all out. Miranda is a brute but we have seen that is he damn scary when he isn't starving himself to make weight.

Yeah man great post. Abraham is a warrior. They stopped a fight on CBS for a guy getting poked in the eye. Anyways good to see Abraham over here, hes been fighting a bunch of club fighters in Europe. Zsolt Erdei and Sergiy Dzinziruk should take notes.

I really don't know how mentally recovered Miranda is from get KO'd from Pavlik. Usually with Boxers with high confidence like Miranda had pre-Pavlik fight, it's harder for them to recover when they get knocked the hell out.

With that said, I say Abraham wins, on his boxing skill and technique, while Miranda who is nothing more than a Puncher, will most likely lose again.

I think Miranda talk so much **** it is kinda scary if he is just trying to convince himself of his abilities. There is one thing to talk ****, another thing is to back it up. Miranda hasn't done it when faced with the creme of the crop.

I am excited about the fight. I am trying to see if any of my friends have showtime. I think they have a much better card compared to HBO, and I can just see the westcoast feed later on HBO.

If not I am going to try and see it on sopcast.

yeah sopcast never fails. Miranda only has a punchers chance, even if he matters to win, he wont beat anyone at the top. Pavlik showed him whos boss. I love Miranda i wish him the best. Miranda-Andrade would be good

I like Miranda... is he like Ricardo Mayorga. Crazy, brash and fun to watch. I want him to do well and I think he will be a champ at 168 but I think he loses this coming fight. He does have a very good punch but Abraham has a granite chin.

I liked your idea with Miranda and Andrade. Andrade has a title shot vs Bute. Speaking of chins, he does he have one hell of a chin as well. He is also a class guy who you can't help but not want to cheer for.

Bute is a tough dude as well. Its going to be hard for Andrade, he needs to try to break him down and get a stoppage. I dont know if he can win a decision.

I have just seen one fight of Bute and it was vs Joppy who was way past his prime at a higher weight class and he had to go 10 rounds vs him to get the 10.

Jeez... that was brutal... even worse than Pavlik when he knocked Zerduche out to sleep.

There's a really good highlight of Bute available various places. 5-10 minutes or so. Beautiful to watch those big left power-hands. The fight against Bika was OK and there's an english lang broadcast.

I'm about to watch the Showtime re-broadcast of Miranda-Abraham 1 - I'd previoulsy only seen it in low-quality German.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

Much props on showtime for buying the rights for the fight and then doing commentary on it.
