It was pretty awkward that they made Gradey quickly thank the fans before the game. In years past wasn't it the star player that usually addressed and thanked the fans?

My take on the second kid is that you already gave up 90% of your life when you had the first, so this one is either just another 5% or half of what you have left ;)

either way congrats. you're a lucky man.

we decide to do this in one of the worst draft's we've ever seen and only a 50% chance to even make the pick... can make this up

We really got forced into doing a tank this season. If Masai had his way we would be running the team that lost to Diar right now

this was a point i brought up with the jak trade. there was always a chance we blew this up so trading the pick with those protections scared me.

Excellent, that's just another chance to repeat the same mistakes made with a new kid  You guys planning for more, or calling it at 2?

Question regarding conveying - would the plan not to be to be bad next year as well? Why not just grab a top 6 pick this year and try and be top 6 next year to?
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

I think the key is to be flexible for next year - be good or bad depending on how these young players develop. Everyone expected the 2021/2022 team that took on Embiid in the 1st round to take a leap in 2022/2023, but that plan didn't pan out. So it's not safe to say "SB+IQ+RJ will take a leap next year so the 2025 FRP will be mid-teens or worse, thus keeping 2024 FRP is better".

If SB+IQ+RJ do not take a leap or even regress (possibly RJ), then we could be sitting at 8-12th pick in 2025, and as we all have seen how hard it is to get comfortably top 6 pick - it's better to not have that Spurs trade hanging over 2024/2025 season.

To be fair if this current squad isn’t better than 8-12 we probably should just blow it all up completely anyways

Because both management, Barnes and Trent are embarassed of their season performance so they let the Rookie takes the embarassing moment.

DelAbott has already said he's team Tank for 2024/2025. He's hedging right now smh.

Del has been consistent that he’s doesn’t want to tank in 2024-2025. In fact he didn’t want to tank this season at the start season when people were more hopeful about the team.

In my mind, the stress is exponential. 2 kids are four times harder to manage than 1 kid. You can no longer simply pass the kid off to your spouse, and go chill. You can't expect to be able to leave her to take care of both kids at once, and have the marriage survive.

And the kids bicker. About everything. If there's one red spoon, that's the one they want and are willing to fight over. Who gets to push the "Walk" button at an intersection, or the floor button in elevator. Only occasionally is there that sublime moment when they play nicely with each other for an hour or so.

But they're teens now. And need to be driven everywhere. But that's a good chance to talk with them. Basically, your ONLY chance.

For lottery position, it's a coin flip. Like the Raps and Dubs in 2012.

Quick Dick balled out.

Add Barnes and Barrett to the mix and we're looking at a decent squad next season.

Play-in at the very least IMO.
In Masai We Trust :meditate:
