Tre Mann should have been a Top 10 Pick in the 2021 Draft

I'm of the belief that we're a better team without Fred. (We won 41 last season)
I think I made a prediction earlier in this thread. Not sure what it was, but I'm gonna revise it to 45-37.

When we got Poeltl though we were 15-11. With Fred we would have likely been a top 6 team in the East and a 45 win team. Don’t think we come close to that this year.

Agree to disagree. Fred is a fine player but I think he was a bad fit on this team. His subtraction will be an addition. Schroeder will make up for his absence and then some. Scottie will take another step forward, Siakam will ball out since it's his contract year, Trent always played better with Fred out of the lineup, and OG will finally get more shots.

The better depth will help. We have a lot of the younger guys getting experience too. Barnes, Koloko, Achiuwa, Flynn, McDaniels, and others are a year older. We also have Dick and OPJ this season which gives us more shooting and depth.

The primary swing factor is going to be Siakam and Barnes 3P% and volume. If they are taking a good amount of shots they will be able to completely change the shooting issues we had last year.

This year:
Poeltl - Koloko/Achiuwa
Barnes - Boucher/Achiuwa
OG - OPJ/McDaniels
Trent - Dick
Siakam - Schroder

Last year
Barnes - Koloko
Siakam - Boucher
OG - Achiuwa
Trent - Young
Fred - Barnes

Trent, OG, and Barnes should have gotten better. They will have better depth and likely shoot better. Siakam will replace Fred as the point guard which shouldn't have a massive difference. Fred was the only PG on our team last season and his on/off wasn't as good as it should have been. Schroder is a better back up from last season, Dick is an actual shooting guard unlike Thad, OPJ is a much better shooter than Achiuwa, and I have a good feeling about Achiuwa and Koloko having a potential break out season, because they are very close.

I am going with 48 wins.

No shot creation outside of Siakam and Schröder. No spacing around them. Unproven coach that probably won’t min/max as hard as Nurse did grinding for regular season wins.

36 wins maybe.

It’s hard to say he was a bad fit when the team was significantly better with him on the floor. Schroder has been signing veteran minimum deals and was a team’s plan B. I think people are going to be disappointed when Schroder does not meet these lofty expectations. OG doesn’t deserve more shots.

Trent Jr. shot 39% without Fred and 44% with Fred.

FVV is a good fit, just wasn’t good enough to be a 2nd option on a team or even third option if you wish to make some noise in the playoffs.

Him leaving does not make us a better team, if we do get better it’ll because of a Scottie/Precious leap.

We could lose pascal for injury whole season and still not be this bad.

We were close to bottom 6 last year before trading for Poeltl. Now we have the same team minus FVV and everyone got better but the wiz. We are trending down, everyone else is trending up.

What a prediction.

And it was still over unless all of the last 3 games are wins.

Yeah that's nuts. I just sifted through the first six pages and it was he and another guy predicting 28 wins.

The optimist in me however sees a much better season so I'm going to go for 62 wins and first in the East.

Let's go Raptors!!!
