Off ball movement, secondary creation and bailout O with pull-ups are all a plus. But the focus needs to remain on Barnes as the engine with guys like IQ supporting. He's got the tools for it.

Good shooters go Toronto to die. I hope IQ doesn't lose his shooting touch the moment he puts a Raptors jersey on.

I'm more worried about reining in RJ Barrett than IQ usurping Scottie after years of RJ getting absurd usage%

Not saying he is as good as Maxey, but always thought they were comparable. Hopefully with an extended role, he can explode similarly

Sadly yes, but I don't think Darko will be as attached to RJ as he is to Dennis. The PG position filled a specific role in his conception of the O than the wings do. I think he has a chance to be treated more like Trent.

Okay no they didn't. I am very high on IQ also but Maxey is one of the best 3 point shooters in the league and a much better downhill guard.

IQ is a better defender though despite being similar size.

Pretty crazy that Quickley is older than Barrett. Feels like RJ has been in the league for an eternity.

I want him playing minutes off the bench, not starting this year. Give him an extension. Start him next year.

"Maxey", "Harden", "SGA"...
People can't even wait 1 game to see how he fits into the team and already making wild comparisons...

At least Quickley is a good professional basketball player, can't say the same for RJ at the NBA, college or FIBA level

Very excited to have him on the team.

Of course, my mind immediately went to his extension. I guess it's good as long as we keep him. If we get him back at a good rate, great. If he plays well enough to get a max or near-max extension, also great?

That would be the ideal scenario with him taking off next season under a bargain deal but if he does start and explode, ultimately it's a good problem to have.
