Why Are We Playing Olynyk And Not Boucher?

Post#1 » by geokilla » Mon Apr 1, 2024 2:54 am

I didn't watch today's game but I did catch some of the past few games. Does Boucher have dirt on the coaches and the front office? Boucher and Olynyk are both 31 and 32 respectively and both are PF/C who are average at best on our team. While Olynyk is the better passer, Boucher brings energy and 3 point shooting. Plus he's Canadian. If we're playing to lose, might as well give Boucher some run to up his value in the off season.

They probably think KO is a better bet to help with losing.

Generally, you don't play a guy with a torn MCL, but what do I know?

Boucher and hopefully McDaniels will be traded in the summer.

Raptors are building chemistry with Olynyk and Gradey. It will pay off when Barnes passes to Gradey next season.

The Toronto Raptors say Chris Boucher will need six to eight weeks to recover from a partial MCL tear likely ending his season

More than the team does, as they played him in a close game regardless IIRC, and I do, I do recall correctly.

And they would be correct. Starting a C who can't rebound or rim protect is pretty much a guaranteed loss.
