As a Nets fan, of course I don't want him to play in the olympics, but this means that he feels healthy enough to play more after a grueling series, which is good. The only other good thing is that Team USA is always a great recruitment opportunity :lol:

This is what happens when you have guys who actually love playing the game. People forget that he's only played like 50 games in the past two years, that's including these playoffs.

Surprised guys like KD or Steph would play during the summer at this point in their careers.

Maybe they just see it as a way to stay sharp over the summer, as it'd be redundant with a lot of their offseason training, anyways, but I don't see how they'd prefer rest over organized play.

Kd is broken in international play. Might be the best Nba guy for it. Its a wrap if hes healthy

Idk Team USA is pretty under powered for the teams Durant usually plays on.

No other player has won an MVP or is likely to win one in the future. Or I guess this is a lock that Curry is joining?

There must be pressure(or incentives)from these players sponsors or pressure from nbc cause from a health standpoint I’m not understanding these stars playing after a condensed season. They’ll basically be getting what a month and a half rest between the olympics and training camp. I cant imagine their teams being too thrilled although they probably wont oppose cause they dont want to piss off their stars. I guess if these players know their bodies more power to them. On the other hand it also proves that Lebron may really be out of touch not only with the union but also other stars as well because by these guys playing it flies in the face of his tweets

I'm guessing Kevin probably wants to get the feeling of being a champion again back. Winning a gold is on the same level as winning a championship for some of these guys. You also have to factor for some of these guys that they are probably never going to win an NBA championship so this is the closet thing they will ever experience to being a champion.

Unless the Brooklyn Nets planned to "rest" him at least 15 games a year voluntarily for the rest of his career, I don't see the big deal. He hasn't played much basketball in the past 2 years. Let hoopers hoop if they want to.

This is the greatest FIBA rules player, ever. The 3PA is his mid range jumper. Actually, it’s the mid range jumper for a lot of NBA players, but he is the only one of them that can also get to the rim in two strides. I’m glad he’s playing.
