USAIN BOLT

Post#1 » by cdouglas » Fri Aug 21, 2009 11:59 am

I know this is a Basketball Forum but since it' the offseason and most of the discussions are repeated, I would like to know you thoughts on Usain Bolt. I think the nickname Flash suites him well. What's your thoughts on this Bolt of Lightening?

22 years of age and he's already amongst the best athletes ever not to mention he's easily the best sprinter ever. We'll see more 6'5 sprinters in the future because it's the only way to catch Bolt. A 6'2, 6'3 guy cannot reach Bolt's level(long leg adv.). Like every true great sportsman, he revolutionized his field ala Wilt, Jordan, Shaq, LeBron(maybe?-if he can live up to the hype).

Out of the world, simply amazing.

I could see LeBron doing really well in the early heats, the pre-lims/qualifiers, but he'd end up failing in the finals. World records, but no gold medals.

Prez, its not about height or stiride length its about power. Plenty of sprint champions in the past have been short and plenty have been big. Bolt is the best we have seen, but its not just his size that makes him great.

You don't have to be in the finals to break a world record.

Bolt said in the interview with BBC that he wants to try long jump and 400m.
That would be great.

Bolt would burn LeBron while wearing baggy jeans, timbalands, a peacoat, and a ten-gallon hat. U cant compare the two.
