I know this looks like a Homer pick, but the 2 guard drops off alot quicker than any other position.

With the 10th pick I select Brandon Roy.

lol, it's a homer pick. Not that i'm complaining :)

Should someone drop out, I would like to put my name out there as a replacement.

Not considering a players propensity for injury is bordering insane. It's got to take somewhat of an effect on the judging in the end if it gets brought up. Otherwise we may as well assume TMac is healthy in which case he should already be drafted.

Hmm...I see your point. I suppose everyone should disregard my last post (I'll edit it). Here's what I'll say about injuries: They'll be left up to the drafters and the voters/rankers. We'll let them have their own take on it. I'll provide very broad voting guidelines, meaning I'll say something to the effect of, "rank the teams in order of how good they would be THIS SEASON". It will be up to the voters to decide how injuries factor into that.

Note, though, that players with season ending injuries should not be drafted.

I totally agree. I think tmac would have been gone before my pick if his injuries and frequency for injuries didn't amount for anything.

Not quite yet. Look at the original post for the first round order. It shouldn't be too long. BTW, I'm interested in trading back into the first round if the price is right. Can you get on AIM?

You guys can laugh all you want, but argue with this.

The two stresses of this league are "this year" and "build a team". Brandon Roy screemes team and his stats can not be argued with.

23pts
5.3 ast (leading his team as a 2 guard)
4.5 rb
1.0 stl
25.08 per (6th in the league and 2nd for 2 guards behind Wade).

Sounds like a top 10 player to me.

No, I don't think it was a bad pick at all. I certainly understand where you're going with this. Were there some other options? Sure. I may have picked someone else in that situation (but I'd probably at least consider Roy). But I think the Roy pick was very understandable. He is having a really good season and, I'll admit, is better than I thought he would be.

If I hadn't traded from the #13 pick to the #3 pick, Roy was one of the guys I was targeting in the first round.

Attention: I won't be able to update this thread for the next few hours.

If lstern does not pick by 4:00 P.M. (about an hour from now), nba_addict will take that slot. nba_addict will be on the clock, and Gremz will be next.

I'm about to go to bed, but I'll check back in the morning. If neither Shepherd Book nor VintaGe36 has picked, I'll open up that spot to the first person to claim it (someone not already in this game, obviously).
