BaNT: Round 3

Post#1 » by The Sixth Man » Sun Jan 4, 2009 4:47 pm

A LIST OF ALL PLAYERS SELECTED SO FAR CAN BE FOUND AT THE FOLLOWING LINK:

viewtopic.php?f=340&t=865840

Remember, you can pick any player in the NBA, trades are allowed, and you are attempting to draft the best team for this season.

You have until the time listed to post your pick for this round. Feel free, however, to make your selection before the deadline. ALL TIMES ARE LISTED IN THE EASTERN TIME ZONE.

If you wish, you may e-mail a list of player rankings (in case you won't be able to make your pick in time) to the following e-mail address:

draft_game@yahoo.com

If you fail to make a pick by your deadline, the next pick will be on the clock, as well. This means that multiple people can be on the clock at the same time. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS, PLEASE ASK.

Here is the order for Round 3:

Based purely on value here, and I'm still shocked he's fallen this far.

The LVA select Steve Nash, PG from the PHX sun.

This was hard because I could have gone so many different ways with this pick. I decided that I would get ahead of the run on PG as 8 of the next 9 teams, that pick twice before my next pick, need one.

If this was a sim league my team would look totally different, but since it is based only on this season:

4th in assists, 2nd in steals, and 6.4 rebounds

The rain select Jason Kidd

^that's a hell of a lot of people who need the ball in their hands to be effective.

Looking to trade 8th pick in the 3rd round and 8th pick in the 4th round, for a lower 3rd (13-16 pick)round pick with a higher 4th round pick.

Maybe, but Kidd doesn't score much and can create for the other 2. Plus, with Roy and Kidd, I will have one of the best defensive back courts in the league.

PGs are dwindling away as ROYMVP mentioned so I will head in that direction as well. I am going homer pick on this one.

STUCKEY

EDIT - Eastern Conference player of the week!

Team LA will take Tayshaun Prince in the 3rd round. We like his all-around style of play, and how he makes everyone else around him better.
