Marc-Andre Fleury has been traded to the Chicago Blackhawks SWA.
Mikael Hakkarainen will be sent to Vegas in the trade. Fleury recently said that he had no interest in retiring anytime soon, but that was provided that he stay in Vegas. Given that the Golden Knights have decided to trade him, he's now discussing his future plans with his family. To make this whole situation worse, the story broke on Twitter before anyone in the Golden Knights' organization contacted Fleury. "While Marc-Andre Fleury still hasn’t heard from anybody with the Vegas Golden Knights, he has apparently been traded to Chicago," Fleury's agent, Allan Walsh said. If Fleury does decide to report to Chicago then he will be their clear starter after winning the Vezina Trophy. As for Vegas, they've cleared $7 million in cap space.
