NCAA Week 8

Post#1 » by Pacers_Freak » Wed Oct 16, 2019 2:51 pm

The Freak hit a rough patch last week..... 2-7 YIKES! Brings the over total on the season to 30-30-1. Here is who I like this week.

Louisiana @ Ark State over 67
Toledo -1.5 @ Ball State
Northern Illinois @ Miami OH +2.5
UNC @ Va Tech +3.5
Indiana -5.5 @ Maryland
Michigan @ Penn State over 45
Florida State @ WAke Forest over 68.5

I've looked over maybe half the games so far. Toledo's starting QB is questionable for Ball State. I think I like Miami Ohio, but I like the under in that game more than either side.

One game that intrigues me this weekend is Oregon/Washington. After giving up 27 points to Auburn week 1, the Oregon defense has yet to allow a single touchdown (Cal scored one, but it was a pick six). And while they haven't played the strongest schedule, they have faced solid competition. Meanwhile Washington, who has also played a respectable if not real strong schedule, is giving up less than 20 points per game. And while their offense can really score, it only scored 19 points against Cal, and 13 against Stanford.

The over/under is 50.5, and the 'money leaders' on covers.com are taking the over more often than the under, for whatever reason.

These were my leans as of Sunday night...

I'm monitoring the Toledo QB situation as well. I love it if he plays. I don't hate it if he doesn't. Ball State is coming off of a big win at NIU, Toledo an embarrassing loss to BG. I think a week or 2 ago this line is double digits. Value play. I'm not buying Ball State at all this year. May burn me but haven't been a believer of them. With you on the Cal/Oregon game under. That was a lean for me. Will probably add it as a play.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
