Yikes at those Dillingham measurements. I don’t think i’ve seen a wingspan so low, that’s Muggsy level

Clingan or Holland for me
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

Finally people are stay to mention Kyshawn George!

Yeah winner as in he might go top 20.
He still only averaged 7.6 ppg as a 20 yr old this year.

His numbers aren't eye popping.

His skillset however is what will move him up in the lottery imo.

6'8 guard with ball skills and can shoot the 3. He's not explosive, but some guys can play under the rim. The best players in our game Jokic/Luka play under the rim.

George is someone I would consider if I were the Hornets. The skillset is there. The explosion could be a problem, but if he knows how to use his skills then it probably won't matter. Some guys just know how to play basketball at their own pace.

Vecenie and Wasserman both have the Hornets selecting Stephon Castle with pick 6.

Castle just isn’t big enough as a non shooter to take. i don’t care what his other skills are, if you can’t shoot at that size, his absolute best case scenario is markelle fultz and i don’t want that with the sixth pick

His official measurements aren't even in yet. He could be 6-5+ without shoes for all we know.

I just can’t get excited about Castle, even when I go best case scenario and get the Marcus Smart/Bruce Brown comparisons. But he’s solid and will be a playable POA defender and screen navigator from day 1, so I don’t mind it.

Castle is a less bulky Marcus Smart at the high end, Justice Winslow at the low.

So my picks, unless one of the others drop, are either Holland or Clingan. I'd still take Reed too.

The Ringer has us taking Reed. Clingan going #2 and Holland 9th.

I’ve been dismissive of Holland but rethinking him relative to some evaluations and his better shooting than Castle (not very good or great, but better). His size is a plus, he is super athletic and dangerous in transition. If he can fine tune that shooting and clean up his sloppy turnovers, his defense and other attributes could work well here. Certainly has the highest upside potential of any players reportedly in our range at 6. If he and Buzelis are both there…tough decision but great options for us. If both of them AND Clingan…wow (doubt that happens).
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

So, Clingan is this years "7 footer who doesn't shoot but could in the future" pick?

Maybe he'll be LaMarcus Aldridge like Cody Was.

No way we pick little Reed, and NO WAY that we’d pass on Risacher if he was still available.

As far as Clingan's ceiling.

Imagine if Rudy Gobert could keep a team honest in space. I'm not talking about a three point basket on occasion. Anything outside the paint does the trick. Clingan has gravity at the rim and pulls defenders causing a defense to collapse. His court vision is solid and he's a decent passer. He also runs the floor well in transition and doesn't fumble passes.

Teams are already salivating over the 2X champion. I guarantee it.

If we (or any team) draft Clingan because we think he can shoot the 3 we have learned nothing as an organization over the last decade. If we draft him, we should draft him for his rim protection, basketball IQ, and leadership ability.

I buy Edey being a shooter far more than I do Clingan. Edey can at least shoot FTs well.

If Clingan shoots like that, even though its just a workout, he's not falling past 2. He's basically everything the Wizards need.

Everything the Wizards need is someone who can run their offense into the future.

Tyus Jones is entering free agency unrestricted.

They should take Topic #2 and not look back.

Edey had a 31.5 inch vertical. That's about 3 inches higher than Clingan.

He also beat Sarr and Clingan in the lane agility test too.
