2022-23 Injury Update Thread

Post#1 » by yosemiteben » Sat Nov 19, 2022 11:33 pm

Seems like this is going to be a recurring theme this year so figured it made sense to have a thread dedicated to injury updates generally

absolutely even when he came back and dunked it, he was grimacing like he was giving birth.

the original fall didn't seem like much, he's just one of those dudes who will always get injured

He's got that Zeller energy, injuries just find him.

Cody is waiting patiently at home right now to see if he'll have the chance to get injured before the end of a 10-day contract with the Hornets.

i'm just continuously dumbfounded by how incompetent this franchise is at basic stuff. a true bush league operation from top to bottom.

more quotes from his wife
"He actually has a fractured scapula.... that they had him play with last game... that's why he couldn't move his arm up in the last game... everyone who knows Gordon knows he has one goal and that's to win and play the right way, he's the most truthful player/person you'd find. If he's not gonna play it's for something more than a bruise... I'm gonna stop there and not get into prior things"

Ugh so gross. Never thought this **** would be possible in pro sports. Need to shake up this franchise, accept the losses this year and try for the French Freak

They need to completely clean house of the entire organization.

So that's why they let Bouk play on like his **** never happened. All that losing in the play-in's driven this FO insane. Pathetic.

This all seems incredibly overblown. Especially since it's Pussyfoot v2's wife being the loudest voice.

Didn't see that the discussion was already taking place when I posted in the Hayward thread. To be fair DSJ and Lamelo stepping on people's shoes reinjuring their ankles is just bad luck. The Hayward, Martin thing however...

MJ wants to make the playoffs even if it's over their dead bodies!

Well. Melo said himself he wasn't ready to return but decided to play when he saw dsj get injured. Sprained ankles are more likely to be resprained if they arent fully healed (insert medical jargon about the stretching and weakening of the tendons etc...) nothing can prevent them from randomly stepping on feet, but a stronger fully healed ankle would be more resistant to a severe sprain in that situation.

But, what I'm really curious about is the Cody Martin situation and the Gordon situation.

When the noise gets loud in and around families, you KNOW it’s bad. I get that Gordon’s fragile, but also believe he’s been pushed or put himself out there when not ready. Dittos regarding other players. On top of that, do we ever hear anything from this s-hole organization of any substance? I mean, is Mitch just chillin’ by his pool? I know MJ is. It’s like this team is just an appendage investment that barely turns enough annual income BUT is massively growing in value. Maybe that’s why it’s led the way it is; marking time until it’s sold.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
