The Clips used to try to goon Luka in the previous series and it seems they are still trying.

Luka can still be emo but the Mavs as a team are much different than those other Dallas teams. They're physical, tough and play great defense.

If you try to punk them, there's a good chance now you'll get punked instead.

The regular season only saw a Clipper ejection from their coach Tyronn Lue. This was a sign Clippers were mentally tougher...

Until tonight, when we had our first Clipper player ejection in the form of Russell Westbrook. It's also the first ejection in the playoffs overall. Wanna see it again, here you go:



This might be the series Mavericks finally win one. They forfeited a playoff appearance last season to better prepare themselves against the Clippers, and it's working. Washington baiting opponents into ejections like tonight might be their key into a permanent end of the Leonard-George era and True Big 3 experiment.

As for the Clippers, if they want to win this series, they need to stop it with the savior's disease. Westbrook, Harden and George heavily believe that Leonard can magically win a ring for them that they don't have to do as much anymore. Newsflash: just because you're paired up with someone who's already won titles before doesn't mean you can relax and let that person win it for you. The super team Frank created (as a last resort) was intended to lighten the burden on their franchise savior, not the other way around. Until they learn this lesson, Mavericks have automatically won the series.

I missed this game.

So you're assuming a Denver series win in the WCF because of one bad shooting night from Luka and automatically putting the Mavs over OKC in the 2nd round.

Sometimes you can assume wrong about a series until it happens. That includes Mavs vs. Nuggets and even Mavs vs OKC. Heck Mavs haven't beaten finished off the Clippers yet.
