I think the Lakers problem is that outside of Lebron and Davis, they lack effective two way players. This is ok if you face lopsided teams and you know if you have to approach with a really offensive or defensive mindset, but the Nuggets are very well balanced and just as the Lakers feel like they've solved the equation on one end, the other end falls apart.

It's not even really 2 way players.

Dlo and Reaves are very similar players in the sense they can score in iso fairly well and limited sets.

However LA don't really need that, and have poor off ball play. They also arnt good facilitators so if when Rui or Lebron/AD have good position they fail to make the right read. Saw it like 4 times the other game.

Add the fact that they both are weak defenders, especially Dlo and it's not ideal

If either of them could facilitate better or even defend better they become 2 x more useful.

AG can't shoot but he is clever on the roll, athletic and a strong defender. I'd swap him for any of them in a heart best to fit on LA.

MPJ with his height is a far more valuable shooter etc etc.

LA just don't have as solid of team across the board and there set up is squashed hard by Denver.

Not saying Ham is a great coach or anything, if you two best players act like they’re Phil Jackson’s during timeouts when he’s drawing up plays, how could you blame the coach at the end of the game?

Only the second time he's lost in the first round (2021 vs Suns).

Maybe Ham's clipboard has no idea of what it's doing.

There's been several reports throughout the season of players voicing their frustration with Ham.

I guess they never looked at that **** clipboard.

The Lakers are dealing with a host of problems in this series:

1.) The Nuggets are +1 in the non-Jokic minutes. He's played 40 mpg, and the Lakers couldn't dominate the 8 minutes he wasn't on. That just cannot happen if you're trying to beat the Nuggets.

2.) The Nuggets are +29 in rebounds, +20 in OREB. Again, something that cannot happen.

3.) The Nuggets are +19 in turnovers.

All the important categories that the Lakers had to win, they couldn't do it. I'm not sure that's all on Ham. They did have some injuries to their depth.

Or maybe have practices. I can’t believe they elected not to practice yesterday. Just terrible. Do they actually think they don’t need to practice. You are down 0 - 3 on the brink of elimination and the team decides not to practice. Lebron you have power in the org. Why didn’t you push for practice.

The sweep is off the table guys. The wood adjustment is here!!
