What player habitually frustrates/dissapoints their fans?

Post#1 » by Taiwan Killa » Sun Jan 27, 2008 5:42 am

Who are the players that always leave their fans dissapointed and frustrated? I'll list some of the big ones.

AK47-He just can't stay healthy, we don't know whether it's conditioning or what but AK47 always leaves Jazz fans banging their heads against the wall when he does down every couple weeks.

Rasheed Wallace-For whatever reason Rasheed just can't find it in himself to bring it every night. Sometimes his mind isn't on the game. "C'mon Rasheed!" Is an oh so common phrase.

Ron Artest-Whenever you think Artest is finally settling down he gets in trouble with the law or says some stupid comment or gets suspended. Artest would be a great player but Kings fans have to deal with him not being what he could be.

Lamar Odom-Lamar just doesn't improve his game. His stats have been the exact same every year. His offensive game is just not diverse, he's basically the opposite of Kobe offensively. While Kobe has every move all Lamar can do is drive left and occasioanlly hit his shakey jumper. He used to post up but he doesn't even do that anymore. Lamar just can't bring himself to practice his J or work on his post moves, his lack of scoring ability leaves the Lakers offense in a standstill when Kobe has his off nights (and Bynum is injured). Lamar has been making Laker fans think about suicide for 4 years now because of what he COULD be doing.

Kwame Brown-Another Laker who just doesn't want to improve. Even when a 20 year old kid took his starting spot Kwame comes in, barely able to dunk and overweight. The guy has the best body/athletism combo out of any big guy in the leauge yet he hasn't done anything with it. He's just not mentally strong, and he's lazy. Laker fans are left wondering "we're paying this guy 9 mil" and "this is all we could get for Caron?" every night.

After 5 threads about Odom you even needed to do a write up? LOL

Boris Diaw for the Suns. Frustrating because you know he has skill and could be something great but last 2 seasons has gone thru some periods where he has been just awful. Finally starting to find his place in the team now and we are using his post-up/passing ability effectively finally.

Still a long way off justifying his salary tho (and it's only the first year!).

The other for the Suns would be Banks. Again he has certain qualities we could really use (strong, quick, gritty defender) but just can't bring it consistently even tho he has improved his shooting a lot.

Both have shown improvements but aren't anywhere near where they should be for what we pay them.

Ben “Mason” Wallace.

I call him that because he is very skilled at bricks. One of the best but he has a huge price.

i agree with lamar and kwame

i would add T-mac becaues of injuries and then vince carter also
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

I don't think Toronto, Orlando, or even Houston fans are happy McGrady.

Am I wrong with this assumption?

how the hell is lamar odom a disappointment?

anyway i'd agree with rasheed wallace. when he decides to show up and play, he is near unstoppable offensively and a beast defensively. like the OP said, his focus is inconsistent though, thus the disappointment/frustration

Pat Garrity - causes a TO every time he touches the ball

Keyon Dooling - shoots at the worst times possible

Jeff "McMinus" McInnis for, as one of the Bulls posters put perfectly on Friday night:

McMinus is amazing, he's fantastically bad at EVERYTHING.

Depends on what you base the assumption on. Its more of a disappointment b/c he can't stay on the court. The Rockets' record speaks for itself when he and Yao play together. Fact of the matter is if he stayed healthy the Rockets probably would have avoided the 4-5 matchup both times and probably would have gotten a more a favorable draw and hence be more successful.

But he is often injured. If it isn't his back..its something else and yea...thats a disappointment.

Artest disappoints me when he forces shots. When he shares the ball and shoots well at the same time, Kings look unstoppable.

Shaq, sometimes he will just turn around and put another centre in a poster, but most of the time he is just lazy. And he doesn't even get on the court and it made worse by the fact that we don't have zo.

I hated when we had Rodman and a 45 year old Moses Malone . And then there was that one year we had the old sucky Dominique Wilkins that just got back from winning some weirdo Greece championship.

No doubt Jason Williams..every year he gives false hope ..

Looks amazing in training camp and has a couple great games..but then by seasons end hes shooting in the 30%s despite getting a lot of wide open shots.

Dampier is pretty frustrating. He is not bad at all, but prefers to have his best games early in the season.

This thread has no credibility until the name Antoine Walker is uttered...
