Two separate but related deals w/ Philly

Post#1 » by niffoc4 » Thu Jan 3, 2008 3:04 pm

The two big problems that Hawks have right now are a lack of shooters, and a weak PG rotation. The Sixers have a PG, and now they have an available 3pt shooter in Giricek. Why not trade for both in two separate but related deals?

Lue for Giricek

and

Zaza (or Shelden) and Lo Wright and Salim for Miller and Randolph

This only adds 5 million or so for next year, and improves the Hawks PG rotation.
It saves the Sixers about the same amount, and gives them a more skilled offensive post player in Zaza.

This would give the hawks
Miller/AJ/Law
JJ/Childress/ West
Marvin/Childress/West
Smith/Shelden/Randolph
Horford/Shelden/Jones

THis puts the Hawks at 12 players, and gives them the flexibility to sign another player if needed.

You forgot to add Giricek in the rotation ;)
Not talking about the possibility of this trade, what I find logical is to think about getting a 3pt shooter with Miller, who can help getting what Miller is able to bring on court.

oops... well he would be backing up JJ... which would be nice considering our lack of SG depth right now.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
