ESPN.com Hawks/Pacers Preview

The Indiana Pacers may have hit a low point on their most recent losing streak.

They'll try to avoid matching their longest slide of the season on Friday when they host the Atlanta Hawks, who are trying to salvage the finale of a three-game road trip.

The Pacers (15-18.) have lost five straight, including Wednesday's 90-72 defeat at home to a last-place Memphis team that had dropped five in a row overall and had never won in Indianapolis. Indiana's five-game losing streak is its longest since dropping six straight Nov. 7-16.

The Hawks are coming off Wednesday's 98-94 loss in Cleveland. Johnson scored 24 points and Smith 20 for Atlanta, which had won a season-best five straight before dropping its last two on this trip.

In the first half, we did a great job of defending. In the second half, we were still defending well, but they came out and really made some tough shots, said swingman Marvin Williams, who had 16 points.

The Hawks were coming off a 9-4 December, their best record in the month since 1993-94. They had won five of seven on the road before their last two games.

This just in........ Great news Hawks fans!

In response to last game's Poll the Atlanta Hawks have announced a Zaza Pachulia update

Image

That's Tito on the right. He's in charge of making Zaza's transition in Siberia a smooth one

Image

I think the Hawks just sent him to make sure Zaza doesn't find his way back personally....

Now if we could only figure out a way to get TLue out of a uniform and back into a suit

Image

Where IS that doghouse when you need it?

Image

I want to see some energy out of these Hawks tonight!

I want to see some aggression!

Basically.... I want to see them kick those corn farmer's asses!

Nice game thread. Hopefully we won't see Zaza in this game.

I'm looking for a good game out of Horford tonight. Just saw the article that TJ Ford is pain free. I think it's beed Dogging him.

Quick line - Caesar's has Indiana by 3 with 196 as the o/u.

Line has been moving today indicating money is coming in on the Indiana side.
I'm guessing that Tinsley must be back because if Owens is the PG, I can't see Indy being favored.

Wow gsu, you really went at them. Good thread though. Tough game but it is really important for us to win this one, lot of EC teams that could gain ground on us tonight if we don't pull it out, lets get some momentum going into our home stand... same gameplan as last time, make them adjust to Joe Johnson against Dunleavy and take advantage of front-court athleticism. Last Indy game was huge for Shel, lets hope he can do it again because like it or not, his performance is very important to this team when Josh or Al are out of the game.

I hope they don't give this stuggling team some confidence.

I've done some real works of art on another site.

This one was B material.

So what's the over under on how many times TLue dribbles the ball around like a chicken with his head cut off and forces Joe to jack up a jumper with 3 seconds on the shot clock?

The Hawks really need a W tonight. Indy's two point guards are Andre Owens(who?) and Travis Diener....no excuses.

We better win this game. I ready on the Indy board recently that Tins is out for today. I hope that is true.

Lets hope we get an unsolicited pacer prediction of an "easy double digit win tonight". Worked out well last time.

Nice game thread again. I think our guys were more delighted to see LBJ than interested in playing and winning in Cleveland. Since the Pacers do not have anything close to King James, let's hope they come out strong and ready for this.
GO HAWKS.
