They probably figure they'd get fired if they stuck around and either Joe wants his own staff or a new coach does.

I don't understand why they'd figure on getting fired, do you know something you're not sharing?

Weren't they just part of a team that came within a game of the finals?

Given the full-throated defense and support of the coaching and running it back by management, players, former players - heck even Ainge - why would anyone on the staff anticipate firing?

This assertion flies in the face of the entire narrative you've been pushing.

Except that it's consistent with attempting to assure us that "everything's fine and dandy" (yes I'm exaggerating for effect) apart from just bad luck/Miami hot shooting.

This doesn't sound like people leaving because Joe's going to "clean house" - Brad had said he'd planned to hire one additional assistant.

I don't doubt there are good reasons why they're leaving, just the that they're the ones you've volunteered.

I do know people don't quit jobs so much as they quit managers, particularly when making lateral moves.

this happens all the time. Of course Ime's guys would follow him. Had he immediately gotten a job elsewhere last season they would have left then. But he didn't and they still needed jobs so they stayed. This isn't an indictment on Brad or Joe. All of these guys are intertwined and have worked together for years at different stops. It's up to Joe to find his own guys he trusts and thankfully he has all off-season to do so instead of being blind-sided like last year. Joe should get more credit for how he was able to withstand all that turmoil and STILL win more games than either Brad or Ime ever did in a regular season and for getting to Game 7 of the ECF. Instead, the dumbest fans in sports actually want him fired.

Oh stop it. Brad never had the talent this guy did, except the year Kyrie decided to shoot our season into the **** sun. Ime also didn’t have the roster he had. This was the best roster Boston has put together since they won it in 08. The only reason we are not playing in the finals right now is because this dude lost the locker room in a horrific way with his stupid offense BS. Dude was clowned by Brogdon, he was clowned by Smart who kept saying ‘he’s learning’ on basically every interview..he was clowned by Tatum when he said he was relieved Rob got back into the starting line up. All through the playoffs his own players threw little subtle hints that the man was hot garbage. He criminally misused his roster. Played Hauser all year over Grant and when things went south he ran to Grant to save his ass and threw Hauser in the trash. Only started taking timeouts properly when we went down 3-0 in the ECF. Like I could go on forever. Drop coverage on Miami?? Just gross.

Dude should have been fired before he even got to his hotel in Miami after game 3. Better yet, he should have never been hired in the first place.

Btw If Smart, Brown, Tatum, Brogdon etc could do what the coaches did and leave to go with Ime, they would also. It’s pretty clear nobody actually likes this dude. If the assistant coach hire isn’t absolutely perfect, we will die another slow death at the hands of this arrogant loser next year.
A new dawn will rise in Boston. ‎#StayLoyal THANK YOU TRUTH!

It is good to see that more people started noticing Brad is the root cause of our problems: His complacency disguised as “niceness”.

Brad is asleep right now
All the experienced assistants are joining other rival teams

What are you waiting for Brad?
That there will be no one to sign and you will get a 16 year old genius you set your eye on?
Start doing your job already and fix the debacle of last season

One thing Brad will never do is "find the way" to a championship.

This team is telling us point blank they have no sense of urgency to bring a title to Boston. They are perfectly fine with just being in the mix every year.

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when Wyc Grousbeck stormed into the locker room in Miami after they fell behind 3-0 to a play-in team and told those guys to grow a pair. And this is the group Stevens wants to keep together?

You might be right.

But I feel like there were those rumors about us being interested in Silas and pics of him hanging with Brad around the celtics facilities - that was during the hawks series. I feel like if we were gonna hire him, it would have happened by now.

But now that so much time has passed (and with all these other assistant jobs getting filled) i'm less confident about Silas coming here. But we'll see.

Two things will remain as long as Brad is in charge:

1. This team will always be a "live and die by the 3" team.
2. 1st round picks will be dealt for proven veterans.

And Brad will keep doing those until he wins a title or gets fired.

Joe is the 3 ball guy, he wants ball movement to get the best open shot, preferably a 3.

Brad is known to like .5 offense with ball movement to get the best shot wherever it is, in fact I believe he was recently quoted as saying every shot being a dunk would be great or something to that effect.

good Lord. These takes are embarrassing lmao.

Brad didn't have this much talent? lol wut? Nonsense

2017-Kyrie, Horford, Jaylen, Smart, Rozier, Morris, Tatum, Theis, Baynes
2018-Kyrie, Horford, Jaylen, Smart, Hayward, Rozier, Morris, Tatum, Theis, Baynes, Timelord
2019-Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Walker, Smart, Theis, Kanter, Timelord

two out of three of those seasons we went to the ECF. #1 defense in the league in 2017 and #2 in 2019. We were plenty talented.

let's spell this out as succinct as possible. The only difference between last season's Ime team and this season was that we acquired Brogdon. So yeah, on paper we'd have a more talented roster. But guess what? Brogdon wasn't healthy and essentially useless in the ECF. Combined with Tatum being injured Game 7 and Horford being a year older, we actually didn't have more talent than last year by the time we got to the ECF. Healthy, we barely beat a bunch of gimped teams and were a Butler three from not going to the Finals under Ime. You people are hilarious.

This **** bum used Kyrie on his argument when one year dude was injured through the playoffs and the next year he basically nuked our season against the Bucks because he didn’t want to be here.

Not to mention neither Jaylen nor Jayson were anything even close to the players they are today.

Ime beat a number 1 seed Miami Heat team and took two games from the Warriors in the finals with the same roster that went down 0-3 to the Heat and got clapped in the ECF..oh and he had a broken down Rob Williams, had to win a game without White also..the audacity of this clown.

Go to sleep. Joe is trash just like your posts.
