Fun Fact: Since getting signed by the Celtics, Hauser has made more postseason threes than 14 NBA teams combined.

If we go down that road, I'll add that Hauser had a 23.6 net rating in the Finals. #FreeHauser.

Joe Harris - made big leap in 3rd season (basically 2nd season because in 2015-2016 he only played in 5 games) at age 25 from 0 PPG to 8 PPG
Kyle Korver - made big leap from 4 PPG to 11.5 PPG in 2nd season at age 23
Davis Bertans - made a good leap in 2nd season at age 25, scoring 6 PPG and then 8 PPG in 3rd season at age 26
Luke Kennard - made a good leap in 2nd season at age 22
Sam Hauser - entering 2nd season. Is 24 now, turns 25 in early december

last season: 43.2% from 3 in NBA, 41.9% from 3 in g league
College: career 43.9% from 3 on 704 attempts over 4 seasons

Guys who are 6'8" and can shoot like that have a good success rate in the modern NBA

All those guys listed above were given large roles to produce those numbers. Whose minutes will Hauser be taking? If given consistent play then i have no doubt a guy who can shoot will have some offensive success, unfortunately for Hauser he wont get the minutes and plays for a team that values defense over offense.
With all that said, i have no problem with him taking Gallo's spot on the roster, im not sure how many minutes he would have been playing either.

Gallo was told when he signed here that he'd be getting at least 20 mins a game.

I’m all for giving Hauser a shot, but there’s definitely a better chance of him not establishing himself as a rotation player, than there is of him doing so. It’s just how the nba works, for every undrafted player that works out, way more don’t.

That shot is legit as hell though, so crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.

Hauser bump!

I want this guy to play. He's a straight up robot shooting 3s and I've always wanted one. Thanks Santa.

Goodness he has a sweet shooting stroke. He’s like a Duncan Robinson, Anthony Morrow, Kyle Korver type. Every time he shoots you wince.

Good movement without the ball. Nothing spectacular, but good. And one of the few standstill shots was from pretty deep.

This guy can shoot the ball.

He's like Robinson in that you can't leave him open. I actually think his shot is easier than Robinson's, who takes very difficult shots on the move. If he's in the corner, he's going to shoot 45% on those 3s.

I think Duncan robinson is a little quicker and a little better defensively than Hauser. But Duncan robinson also averaged like 13 PPG as a starter for the Heat. We only need Hauser to give us like 8-10 PPG off the bench. I think he can do that.

Don't want to get too worked up over 1 preseason game vs a bad hornets team. Excited to see how he looks tomorrow night!

Robinson flies past screens to catch-and-shoot.That's the big thing he does (or did when his shot was falling) that Hauser so far doesn't. But unless a guy is a lead or second-lead scorer, I'm not sure how much difference that makes vs. what Hauser evidently now can do himself.

A difference between Hauser and Duncan Robinson is that Hauser was a superb college player who played serious minutes, made all-conference, and rebounded and passed well for his position.

Robinson was a designated shooter at Michigan and really didn't show anything besides his shot.

It's probably just me - and violates my own nicknames should be short rule of thumb - but I prefer Hauserwitzer over Howitzer.

I'd take the "er" off because it doesn't flow right with the original word to me. Hauswitzer, with a silent s is the way to go, could take it out too but I like it.

Either way, he's a SHOOTA!! :)

Normally I'd totally agree with you on the flow, but for this one I LIKE the extra "er". It makes it for me. Not sure why, but the extended remix is more enjoyable to me. I'm ok going this one alone, lol.
