Hauser got offered his qualifying offer and is a restricted free agent.

Where’s he going to land?
Who would make him an offer?
What’s his new deal going to be?
Does he beat out Nesmith?
What’s his realistic upside potential?

The Decision: Part Hause

No intel, but I think they already have a long-term deal in place. Hauser gonna sign as soon as moratorium ends. Won't even wait for other offers.

That’s what it sounds like to me too. Now just give Hauser an opportunity this year

What’s his realistic upside potential? — Duncan Robinson Redux

Dude is amazingly consistent. Has averaged .43x% shooting from three for all three of: his college career, his G-league stint, and his NBA cup of coffee.

I want to keep him long-term as well. He is tall and has a beautiful stroke. Has potential to be one of the top three-point shooters in the league if they can continue to develop him.

AS a 10th-15th man I am fine with him sticking

Obviouly it's always possible he breaks out, but in all likelihood is his contract situation has any sort of material relevance to our offseason then it's not looking good for us.

There needs to be a distinction between 'the best 3pt shooters' and ' top in 3pt %'.
Hauser is almost 25. It's way more likely his ceiling is Max Struss (with less shots off movement) than any of the greats that make very difficult shots on high volume.

If he can be a Max Strus we have hit gold. From your lips to god's ears.

I don't care about his age. He's 25? So what? He looks to me like a 8-13 PPG type player who can explode in some games hitting six 3s.

Yeah, I'm not arguing Hausers ceiling is low. I like him. Just being a dick about semantics of how to label the quality of shooters.

Meh, I hope he isn't on the team to be honest! And if I'm going to go ahead be honest, I hope fitts, kornet, morgan, Ryan, Thomas ,stauskis are all not on the team.

Hauser has a great stroke, but not the mobility of guys like Strus and Robinson, which makes him a bit more of a liability. My guess is he needs to develop another strong suit, like passing or rebounding, in order to justify minutes on the floor.

He looks quite well rounded though. I'd like to see him get some spot minutes with starters and see if he can add to his arsenal, like Grant has done.

Yeah maybe he ends more towards a front court player, small ball 4 guy.

What's the most we can sign him for? Used up the full TPMLE on Gallo, I assume, so vet min or whatever the allowable raise is from his last deal which was nothing?

Yes, We Definitely need to Re-Sign him.
Hauser is just a good shooter. Reminds me a bit of Eddie House.

Hauser 43%-3pt, over 26 NBA Games.

Brad declined his option so IND couldn't get cute and force him to use him as filler salary vs the other scrubs included in the Brogdon trade

Gallo makes for a pretty solid 1 year mentor.

Hauser made Nesmith expendable
