Best CF Defensively

Post#1 » by maseda17 » Thu Apr 5, 2007 7:35 pm

Lot of great CF in the league during this time. Which guy is the best defensively? Take into account their arm, their speed, their ability to read the ball off the bat, fearlessness going to the wall, and their propensity for the "web gem."

Not me but he is probably the second smoothest CF behind A. Jones. Make fielding the position appear to be very easy.

Torii Hunter shouldn't be on that list anymore.

Jones has the best range on that list and is probably the best defensive CF I've seen since Yount retired. I also think that Brian Anderson(although he can't hit) will be mentioned among the best in the future.

Willy Taveras easily. Really, really easily. Brian Anderson is second probably, but he's not a starter.

Jacoby Ellsbury is on par with Taveras.

I gotta say Andru Jones. He makes the game look so easy. He makes the spectacular catches look like nothing. He is that good.

Prove it, big shot.

What about THT's system? Or Baseball Prospectus? The Fielding Bible? Et cetera.

Yeah, I know. But they aren't foolproof by any means. And just using one is the height of stupidity as they all seemingly have flaws.
