Ramirez is great, but I think Reyes as of right now is a better all around player.

He can steal more bases.
But mainly he is a better defender by a good amount IMO.

Hanley is a much better power hitter / more consistent hitter.

Reyes is a better overall player and he's a sex symbol.

Both are pretty good IMO.

Hanley has more power and hits for better average. Jose reyes is faster and the better defender.

It's a wash IMO..

Jose Reyes is the most exciting player in the history of baseball. Hell, he's the most exciting professional sports player in history. It has to be Jose Reyes, he's just so damn exciting.

LOL at Theriot being on any top 5 list for shortstops.

1. Ramirez
2. Reyes
3. Renteria
4. Tulowitzki
5. Rollins
6. Hardy
7. Furcal
8. Drew
9. Theriot
10. Greene

As good as Renteria is, he's just not the same player he once was. So I'd put Rollins @ 3, and move Renteria to 4, and move Tulowitzki a notch down to 5.

Though, I agree with your 1st 2; Reyes & Ramirez, imo, are like 1A and 1B, can't go wrong with either.

Have you even watched baseball this year? Theriot has a higher OBP, higher SLG and more stolen bases than either of them.

He's probably been the 7th best NL SS this year. Though for the Cubs, I'd also rather have him than Hardy since he's a much better leadoff option.

Nooo way. Renteria is still an absolute beast @ SS. He's having one of his best years right now, but is currently on the DL.

Well are we basing it off this year only or past years as well as potential in the future?
