Game of the year tonight!!! Braves come back from down 6-0 to win the game 9-8! Pierzynski HR with 2 outs tied it in the 9th. Adonis hit a walk off 2 run shot (after trailing in extra innings).

Braves acquired OFs Nick Swisher and Michael Bourn and cash considerations from the Indians in exchange for 3B Chris Johnson.
Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports says the Indians are sending over $10 million to the Braves in what is a swapping of bad contracts. Swisher is on a rehab assignment at the moment as he works his way back from knee issues and is owed $15 million in 2016. Bourn is due $14 million himself in 2016, while Johnson is owed $17.5 million through 2017. Swisher figures to play a good amount in left field and also at first base while Freddie Freeman (oblique) is sidelined.

Good trade. So does Bourn start in LF? Maybin and Markakis already in CF and RF respectively. Swisher and Gomes give us two good bats off the bench, who can start in OF to give others a day off. Swisher could also play at 1b.

I dont think either should start, Swisher has been pretty horrible this season and with Eury doing well in LF i wouldn't bench him for Bourn.

Deal makes us pay more next year in exchange for clearing salary in 2017. There is a chance that Bourn regains some of his pre Cleveland form, with a change of scenery and a move back to the NL. If that happens then I can see us flipping him at the deadline next year.

1-0 Braves in the 5th. Had bases loaded with 1 out, couldn't get more runs. Maybin struck out and Markakis flied out to LF.
