Jacob Webb... pretty much single-handedly loses the game today. He came in with 2 on in the 7th with a 4-1 lead... gives up a 3 run-homer and then 2 more runs in the inning. Braves lose 6-4. Can't play him in close games anymore.

Snit lost the game, he should have went with Dylan Lee in that spot.

Hard to say. Lee's had a heckuva year in the minors, but he's a 27 year old rookie with a mediocre scouting report - says his best pitch is a low 90's fastball. Webb had good stats going into the game, tbh - though he's the one who threw the ball away in an extra innings game recently trying to pick off the runner at 2nd.

Here it says his fastball has been topping out at 96, this year at Gwinnett.

That's normal for the topped out number to be 3 MPH's or so over his usual speed.

Will Smith... the definition of better lucky than good. 3 walks and 3 SO's in the 9th, and those 2 called strike 3's... lol. At some point, the baseball Gods will make us pay for this one.

Padres fans are devastated, but I'm surprised they're blaming the team much more than the ump. SD needs to make a decision on Tatis' position. He makes a ton of mistakes at SS, but he's only 22. Will he get at least adequate there eventually, or should they move him to another position?

Biggest series of the regular season starts tonight against Philly. Braves last 6 games are at home. Phillies last 6 games are on the road. But, the Braves road record is much better than their home record. Phillies home record is way better than their road record.

A spectacular clutch performance by Morton. Another heart-palpitating save by Smith.

Magic # is 1! Ian Anderson hopefully gets the honors tonight.

Max wasn't quite as good as Morton, but he he was really good. Both of them ate quality innings when we needed them to. Seems like Riley is always coming through with hits when there's RISP - he's not just a power hitter - he's become a great hitter and drove in 3 of our first 5 runs.
