Is Tyrese just going to continue with the 20/10 and try to make us regret that trade?

It won't matter if they have a losing record. Same with the Kings. Right now it's whatever team moves into the POs. Can either one of them contribute to winning basketball?

Re: 2021-22 General Thread
What a brutal first two games. The Blazer game should have been an auto W. If this team is a PO team that is what should be done. Don't care what the Blazers do, they're not a PO or play in team.
The Clippers even without KL was always going to be tough, but they put themselves in position. Should have been able to come away with a W.
I don't care about individual form at this stage from the established guys, they will all come good, it's about how the team is operating and it's too bumpy and clunky at certain stages, particularly from the second group. I do wonder when this fascination with Okpala starting (or even being in the rotation) will end. He is a terrible player. Adds literally nothing to the team.
Not only is he NOT playing good D, but he is also forcing the Kings to play 4 on 5 up the other end.
Was great giving him an opportunity in pre season etc, but these are meaningful games.

Good analysis of Sacramento's defensive breakdowns and personnel so far:

not worried about making the playoffs, just getting a cohesive group going into next year. Maybe the west tanks us for another good pick and we should be playoff contending by Sabonis' free agency

What a disaster of a start for Sac. The bench looks horrific, the coach is terrible and locked in for 4 years, Davion isn't even an NBA level rotation player.
We've had a brutal schedule to open the season, also getting robbed opening night. Looking at the upcoming schedule 2-8 in the first 10 is probably where we are headed.
It's like regardless who the players are and who the coach is, they struggle from the same stupid basketball. Bad refs, can't hit free throws, streaks of terrible basketball, horrible bench. This team is legit cursed.

Strange that primo got waived. He made a comment about his mental health? Wonder if something bad is going to come out, no way spurs cut him if he just needed some time to focus on himself. If there's nothing bad out there, I hope sac for once can steal a young guy oozing with potential

The NBA has a very long history of talented guys who have admitted or not admitted mental health problems becoming a disaster for the teams that think “hey we can steal this guy and he will be ok here it was that place he was at”.
Let’s be realistic. An organization like San Antonio with a solid reputation for ALWAYS doing things the right way cuts this guy just after picking up his deal?
That’s a double hurricane red flag right there and a sign to stay as far away from him as possible.
This organization has yet to prove that it can adequately develop and maintain players that are normal. Let alone try to deal with a guy who has admitted publicly to mental health problems.
No way no how no where.

KPJ was once a guy with problems. He's now averaging 20/6/5.OGSactownballer wrote:Silver Man wrote:RipPizzaGuy wrote:Strange that primo got waived. He made a comment about his mental health? This team needs talent. Take a risk. It's literally low risk/high reward. If he has issues cut ties, we spent nothing to get him.

Malik Monk's basketball story:
https://www.nba.com/kings/news/get-to-know-malik-monk
I think perhaps Coach Brown has not figured out how best to use him on this team, yet, but it seems like the coaching staff is working on it and has some ideas.

For sure. I didn’t see the time there. When the initial reporting came out, it seemed extremely fishy, prompting that wait-and-see feeling. If the Spurs (of all teams) releases a guy for “mental health issue”, then something else would be likely to drop. I get it if others weren’t looking too far into it.

We have a reputation to rebuild and it’s not going going to happen overnight.
It’s absolutely not going to help to acquire a guy like Primo, Kyrie or any of the other assortment of clowns that shoot themselves in the foot by their ridiculous and egotistical aberrant behaviors.
This team cannot afford to have bad citizens or “take a chance” that some guy figures it out and becomes a star caliber player.

So you are saying our offense is one of the best, but our defense is turrible? lol. I hate to change things while we are winning but this feels like something Crowder would help a lot with.
