He is semi-slumping right now. Would be great to get him going again, but I feel like his rhythm has been off since the new guys joined.

Point Martin is not helping him at all.

This is also perfectly normal for a rookie. Success is rarely linear and he was on a meteoric rise. I have no doubt he will be just fine.

Well at least we picked the next best player available in the draft. Kind of crazy Miller is going under the radar because Wemby is a unicorn prospect. Any other draft Miller is the talk of the town.

The kid even knows what he has to do to get better. Add weight. The skills for the most part are already there. Improve his handle and adding weight he's a future superstar.

Bradley Beal, Brandon Miller's former AAU coach, had some kind words for him after the recent Suns game.
“He's more aggressive, he's tougher…I'm beyond proud of him, his skillset is immaculate. He was the focal point of our scouting report and I'm sure he is for everybody else too. I'm just excited for him. He's in a good situation for a team that can grow together. They have a big future ahead of them.”

Love Miller, but damn the NBA really loves screwing us with these generational bigs.
Imagine if Wemby was in Charlotte. He would have changed a lot in Charlotte from a fan attendance perspective. These games at Charlotte would be sold out.

Nah. Spurs are still average in attendance and they actually win stuff occasionally.

Spurs are use to generational bigs so it doesn't move there fans. Robinson/Duncan now Wemby nothing new for them.
Charlotte on the other hand never had that kind of talent. Mourning was good, but he wasn't generational. I think Wemby would have brought excitement back in the Charlotte fanbase.
I could be wrong, just my feeling.

Would've brought excitement, but the only thing selling out this building is winning or playoff games.
Or home knicks Celtics heat Laker games where the opposing fans take care.

I see no reason to lament on barely missing Wemby. The lotto jumped us up a few spots and gave us a wing that is perfect for the current era of basketball. His scoring is well above average for a rookie while doing it in a joke of an offensive system.
Signs show he could be one of the best wings in this era so I see it as a blessing to the franchise that does not get many.

It's definitely easy to look at the Wemby thing and being upset we missed out by ONE slot AGAIN. But yes, we were lucky to move up and Miller changes our trajectory much more (for the better) than anyone else we would've taken at picks 4, 5, 6, 7.

i mean, it's pretty frustrating to be picking 2nd in the Shaq draft, the Dwight draft, the AD draft, AND the Wemby draft no matter who comes after.

miller shooting 31% from 3 over past 15 games, 40% overall. safe to say he's in a shooting slump.

Re: BrandHIM Miller: The Brandon Miller Thread
really only the last 7. 16.3/4.9/2.6 for 38.7/28.8/72.2
the previous 8 games were fine
The rookie wall comes for everyone unless you're a robot.
