"Brunson pushing off, no whistle" no wonder some philly fans complain so much if their broadcast is constantly whining like that lol
you serious bro…check the tapes …Brunson single handedly beat several teams in the western conference playoffs…lack of knowledge is hilariousHussien Fatal wrote:bronxknicksfan1 wrote:Hussien Fatal wrote:Maxey has been the best player and I said it before the series he was as good as Brunson and everybody laughed, despite being down 0-2 Maxey has been the superior player no doubt about it.
He’s still not as good
Sixers are selling out their whole defense to make sure Brunson doesn’t get it going. Maxey isn’t facing close to the same defense.
But that’s neither here nor there. Maxey choked in the end while Brunson came up big in those last seconds.
Maxey is also a 2nd option so he doesn’t get the amount of looks that Brunson gets. Maxey is 1st in the playoffs in TS% Brunson might be dead last. Maxey is 4 years younger and there isn’t a clear gap between the two at the moment other than the gap in playoff performance.

Maxey averages 20 shots a game for the season. He’s averaging 24 a game in the 1st 2 games of this series. That’s with a top 5 player as his first option.
He’s getting mainly single coverage. Brunson has a man on his hip before the ball is inbounded and gets trapped or double/triple teamed once the ball gets in his hands over half court.
If Maxey was truly the better player, he wouldn’t be a negative in the box score 2 games in a row and the Sixers wouldn’t be 0-2. Simple as that.
Yes he’s averaging 24 shots but he’s also scoring a ridiculous 34ppg as well oh and he’s still taking less shots than Brunson this series.

The 76ers were lax and thought they had the game in the bag. Bad calls are part of the game. When they go in your favor great, when they go against you you can't start crying. The 76ers just have to match the intensity of the Knicks throughout the entire game.
I'm telling you it's these Wildcats; Donte, JHart and Brunson, they just play on a different level of intensity. No wonder they won a couple of NCAA chips together.

these grievances are legit, but they never forced NBA to change the outcome of the game

Huge news. I've been following the NBA for a long time and this is the first time I've seen a complaint about the officiating in a game. Blown calls never happen in this league and there were certainly no blown calls that went against the Knicks in this game.
I applaud Philly for standing up for justice!!

Capn'O wrote:It's not that hard. We're putting Embiid and Maxey in single coverage and cutting out the help and the Sixers are blitzing Brunson. The disparity is by design.
Brunson has been a little disappointing in that he hasn't been the decoy as often as he probably should. He took some questionable shots down the stretch and also missed some bunnies for him.
