How many calls were missed by referees in the last minute of 76ers vs Knicks Game 2?
How many calls were missed by referees in the last minute of 76ers vs Knicks Game 2??
These are the calls I have seen that were missed:
* At 27.0 sec, Nick Nurse called a timeout before Lowry could inbound.
* At 27.0 sec, Brunson pulled Maxey's Jersey before he got the ball from Lowry.
* At 25.5 sec, Hart pushed Maxey down.
* At 24.5 sec, Maxey fell down.
* At 23.9 sec, Nick Nurse again called a timeout.
* At 23.5 sec, Lowry and Embiid also called a timeout.
* At 22.5 sec, Nick Nurse realized that the referees would continue to ignore his timeout signal so he rushed toward the referees with the timeout signal.

You reviewed the final minutes and concluded that the calls were one-sided? STOP IT. The refs decided to not factor into the final outcome for a change. It was an evenly officiated game with the exception of Embiid getting superstar calls.

Its not uncommon at all for refs to swallow their whistles at the end of games. There was no agenda involved.
Its unfortunate for foul baiting players though.

To me he is the third best player in the NBA - Luka and Embiid are comfortably ahead of him.

Stop crying about the refs. These teams choked when they had leads.

The video clearly shows Nurse isn't calling a timeout before the ball is inbounded. There is incidental contact with Brunson and Hart even backs off Maxey as to not foul him. Maxey is the one who fumbled the ball, fell down for some reason and lost the ball. The 76ers have nobody to blame but themselves for last night. Brunson hit a 3, Hart stole the ball, Hartenstein crashed the boards, OG made the right pass, Divencenzo made the 3, Hartenstein made an amazing block, OG hit two FTs. I get Philly fans complaining, it's a heartbreaking loss, but those non-calls in the last 30 seconds on that one Maxey play are commonplace. Hell, Knick fans dealt with the Charles Smith game. Refs swallow their whistles in the playoffs at the end of games. Nothing about that Maxey play was egregious. You have Lowry flopping like a fish and Maxey falling down for some reason. Philly looks horrible this morning with all of their complaining.

14 seconds left: embiid was right under the basket and didn’t jump for a rebound, which was grabbed by hartenstein, passed it to og, who swung it to divichenzo to give the sixers 2 L’s

You are just about right. Although you should merge "Hart pushed Maxey down" and "Maxey fell down" in 1 call.

I remember that Charles Smith play well. If he had gone up strong it wouldnt matter that Grant, Jordan, and Pippin beat the ever-loving chit out of him, which they did. The point is, the refs don't want it said that they influenced a playoff game. The regular season is an entirely different story.

Man, at the time i was pissed feeling charles smith had been fouled repeatedly. Upon watching it again, later in life, meh.

Just Maxey pushing off before Brunson tugged his jersey.
If you watch the replay. Nurse didn't ever actually call a TO when Philly had full possession of the ball.
Edit:
That said does anyone have other angles of that Lowry - DiVincenzo call they overturned? I fully buy that Lowry could’ve popped it out clean, I just have only seen that one angle that’s not clear at all.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

Crying about the league being too soft and then crying about the league being too hard.
Pretty sure majority of the fans prefer this type of basketball than the crap we've been forced to watch all these years. People actually thought players were too skilled nowadays when we just realized they were just playing too damn soft lol.

Which video are you watching? Check this picture where Nurse is clearly calling timeout while Lowry still has the ball:

You've always got to be prepared to beat the other team AND beat the refs.
