Interesting takes....no thats not right...dumbass takes.

Garland, Strus, Mitchell have elite defenders coving them all game (yes...Brown is Elite)
Garland, Mitchell and Strus have to defend key players and scorers in Jrue, White, BRown

Mobley CANNOT, I repeat CANNOT defend Tatum.

We have a vastly superior Offense
A Vastly superior Defense
and a vastly superior top end player.

Cavs got NOTHING for this team. Should be a sweep, might lose a game cause it is the NBA any team can get hot and win a game.

the Cavs 16th ranked offense averaged 95.8ppg against the Magic whose defense was 3rd ranked to our 2nd ranked.
Now instead of facing the 22nd ranked offense they face the #1.

Wins will be by around 20 ppg for the Celtics.

Watching these games without KP is a lot less fun than with him. The Cs offense and pick-and-roll defense in particular just suffer without him being there.

It's great to win, and Horford has given so much to this team and franchise, but every bricked three or giving up easy threes/missing layup on pick-and-rolls has me missing KP man

Let's just hope he's as close to 100% as he can get if he comes back. 'Cause I remember Timelord coming back too and he just wasn't the same for that 2022 title run.

Kyrie to Boston will be the 'thing'

Hope fans in Boston are smart, boo him when he touches the ball, nothing more ...this is a diff Kyrie and we don't want to give him aNy extra energy/motivation

Assuming KP is ready to go even days before G1, Celtics should keep a tight lip and still place him as DOUBTFUL until the last possible moment when they could declare him as AVAILABLE. Game within the game. Let Mavs think he won't be available and prep accordingly. List him as QUESTIONABLE from then on before every game like what Pacers were doing with Haliburton or Heat usually do with their guys.

I would actually love it if we didn’t even give him the satisfaction of getting boo’d. Pretend he doesn’t even exist. I bet that would **** with his head more than anything.

Media downplay the impact not having KP makes.

But early in the season we were all told the Celtics would be in a world of trouble if KP or Horford got hurt.

20ppg scorer who anchors an elite defense with multiple blocks per game.

I personally think he is ready now. Celtics just being cautious in the Pacers series because they didn't need him. Great plan.

And makes it harder on the opposition to gameplan.

I haven't been able to post much because the site has been really slow and took yesterday off so had 4 kids and no luxury of down time at work, but I can tell you 100% he was hopping around and excited through the tunnel back to the locker room Monday night. I've got the video on my phone as proof and memories of it with my oldest son and my dad I'll never forget lol!

Which would be absolutely amazing, but we all know will never happen unfortunately. It would be wonderful if the collective fanbase just let this one go.

Anyone else nervous that Kristaps coming back in the finals is going to be similar to 2009 MAgic when Nelson was hurt and came back? He wasn't battle tested, and seemed to hurt them more than help.

I know center is different than guard in that reguard, but it is still a concern of mine.

I think Celtics need the rim protection and size this series, so Kristaps is going to be key.

I hope a lot of these posters are correct in that KP has been healthy for a while now, an Celtics are just saving him for the big dance.

As I posted in the other thread: I see walking, not running and jumping.

That said, the walking has obviously been fine long enough for him to get his practice-shooting form back.
Banned temporarily for, among other sins, being "Extremely Deviant".
