Yes! Since that game I've told a number of people, "I know this is sort of nitpicky but I thought a crucial moment in Game 3 was when Doc took out Ray even though he was red-hot." Today I was telling someone that and he goes, "Yeah but Allen is old and needs the rest." I was like, "No he's in good shape; plus, it's the NBA Finals, man." I guess Ray is in shape. And it is the NBA Finals.

Tom was working the sideline the whole 2nd half and that my friend is something someone will pay big money for.
I know there may not be a opening at the moment but I wouldn't be surprised to see Pat Riley make another move at the coaching position. I hope we can only keep Tom after this performance.

Posey was incredible, a huge difference maker, at the 4 with KG at the 5 for great spacing. Compared to perkins and tonight PJ brown, he was the best option to put beside KG. Powe was decent in the few minutes he played but ultimately it comes odwn to Posey. excellent D on Odom - reminds me of his job on nowitzki back in 06.
House was a huge difference maker, especially compared to Rondo man. The floor just straight up opened up with him on the court.
Pierce started off pretty bad but came up huge in the 3rd.
KG was very good, don't be fooled by the lack of FTA. Just about every shot was a great shot or a pass out of a double team - guys just didn't hit shots.
Ray Allen, smoking is bad but here's a VICTORY CIGAR. 48 minutes of consistent greatness kept the celtics within attacking distance and he just flat out rocked the Lakers all game long. The reverse layup near the end of the game DEFINED IT, and that's all that needs to be said.

I'm just ticked off that Ray had his 10th rebound in the closing seconds, Vujacic tackled him to knock the ball loose before possession was fully established and they don't call anything. If they call that, Ray goes to the line and finishes with 21 and 10 (or 20 and 10 if he went 1-2). Just looks better than 19 and 9.
Ray was 3-3 in the second half from the floor and they were all lay-ups. He got open on the perimeter a few times, but seemed determined not to settle for jumpers. The two Posey threes late were both on kick-outs from Ray after Ray passed on a quick shot and drove into the paint to set up a better one.

He scored, defended, rebounded, handled the ball mad nothing but great decisions all night. That was perhaps the greatest all around floor games a SG has played in the finals when you factor everything in.
I have a new favorite game of all time.
Also props to Eddie, I was about to lose my mind watching him in the first half, but what a way for a role player to sack up and get it done.
Well said!

Ray 19 points (6-11), 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 1 turnover, 2 fouls, 1 blocked shot.
PP 20 points (6-13), 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, 4 turnovers, 4 fouls, 1 blocked shot.
ABC is setting Pierce up to be Finals MVP, that's what they're thinking.
ABC analysis: "Oh, high scorer! Game MVP!"

I'll tell you guys...It's positively delicious celebrating this win in LA tonight. Despite the lip-service your hearing from the Laker brass during the postgame, everyone else (read as the typical Laker homer radio station) is describing this as the type of loss that a team cannot recover from.
I've been out here a long time and this feels great.
