Ron Artest calls KG "part-time soldier"

Post#1 » by theFRANCHISE » Tue Jun 17, 2008 7:10 pm

"Where's the fire when K.G. is down 20?" Artest declared in the first half of Game 4. "Watch how he goes back to huddle like a puppy. You're either a soldier all the time or you're not. You can't be a part-time soldier."

I can't say I totally disagree with Artest, as much as I hate to say it.

Ron Artest isn't always a true professional, and might have a tendency to exagerrate, but he knows the game of basketball. I at least respect what he has to say here, personally.

I disagree with Artest, KG seemed to be going pretty hard to me.

Actually, for all his faults, Artest is one of the hardest working, intense players in the NBA.

The irony of this statement is so ridiculous it defies summation.

How or why DJ Crazyass thinks he has the right...then again I guess he would be the expert on being a "part time" soldier as that is exactly what he has been his entire career.

What Ron Artest have you people seen? I must live in Bizzarro world were this dude does nothing but act crazy, fail, and let his teamates down. The dude avg like 55 games a season. I just wonder were he will whine about wanting to play once the match from Hell happens and ends up a Knick.

Of course not. But it's wrong for any of us fans, and any national writers, to expect KG to be a clutch, ice-water for blood, big-game player a la Pierce or Ray Allen Kobe. That's all, and on that count, Artest is right.

KG is not a "part-time warrior (warier?)." He gives a full-out effort every night, unlike Mr. Artest. On that count, future Knick Ron Artest is dead wrong.

Ron was a "full-time soldier" on that Indy team a couple years ago, for sure.
It was that franchises best shot at a title EVER and a glimmer of hope for the next 4-5 years but it went down the drain because of his soldier status. good for him, enjoy life in Sacramento with the cows and your plastic baggage scumbag

He is certainly crazy/moronic off the court, the quote about KG being an excellent example. My point was simply that the poster who suggested he doesn't play hard when his team is losing is dead wrong. For all his problems, the guy does go all out every second of every game.

One thing you can't say about Artest is that he doesn't put up a fight. That said. Ron Artest is a Kobe ball-washer. Watch this interview. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s24kx5ynRVQ It's disgusting to see Artest sucking up to Kobe like that.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Especially because English is only my second language and the word "numbnuts" was not in my vocabulary (until now).

Don't listen to Artest, trust me.
