And props to ownership for giving up the dough, as well.

So much for the worries that this ownership will not shell out the dough. Remember the talk about that about a year ago? Funny to talk about it now. I think they realized that they can spend $75m on a team but with all the merchandise and tickets they sell, they'll still make tons of money.

And the pick is......

Semi Erden?

Stash and follow pick I guess. Big body.

I called this pick. o way the Celtics are going into the year with 3 rookies and Pruitt. They were taking a foreigner to stash over seas and hope he develops into an asset.

We already got 2 players, no way a 3rd was going to make a roster. Why not get a young European, stash him for 3-5 years and hope he has some value then. Looks like he is not a complete stiff either so there may be some hope.

One of TA/Posey is staying, but not both.

Walker/Giddens/TA-or-Posey is a solid corps of backup swingmen.

Now we just need a back-up point guard (Duhon?) and a back-up center (Kwame Brown?)

Well these guys will definitely help us match up with teams like Atlanta, Charlotte, Golden State, and Washington.

Great draft. Lots of interesting things. Trades. Players falling and all that.

Return to Boston Celtics
