I've been following the NBA for almost 20 years, and this might be the worst trade I've ever seen.

I don't understand why Minnie would trade for an overweight PF to pair with their other overweight PF.

This really defies comprehension. I think when you combine the awe-inspiring horridness of McHale with the bumbling idiocy of Rob Babcock you create gems like this. This takes the Carter trade to another level.

If I were a Minnie fan, I think I'd be in front of the Target Centre with torches and pitchforks. I don't what else you could do at this point.

Minny should have kept O.J. How stupid. Memphis should do better next year. They should work on getting a big.

Mcfail does it again, Al Jefferson and Kevin Love don't complement each other at all especially defensively.

Really like it for Memphis. They should be able to do a quick re-build in a couple years now. They have a few good players in Gay, Mayo, and Conley. They might suck this year and be able to get a high pick and add a guy like Derozen, or Rubio. All their young players will be on small contracts, so they'll be way under the cap and add a big time free agent to it next year. Might be a quick re-build for them.

Wow. Thank god I am not a T'Wolves fan. No offense.

Pretty solid trade for Memphis. They've got Conley/Mayo/Gay to build around and if they can find some vets or grab some draft picks etc. to fill their frontcourt then they have I bright future ahead of them.

Come on, man. Mayo's going to have a way better career than either of them. I don't think the Grizz will regret this.

I don't like the Love/Mayo swap much for Minnesota...

They now have that Jefferson/Love PF/C tandem, and they'll have quality offense and solid rebounding - except, Minnesota lacks a key requirement in this game, to make your way to being a legit squad.... a significant defensive presence from one guy, or from a pair, in the starting line-up at the big spots. Neither Love or Jefferson really complement eachother on defense, because neither are or are going to be strong defenders.

I really liked originally that they took Mayo, but despite McHale's love for Love, I was surprised to see they traded for Love later on. I thought they had changed their minds and took the better prospect, talent, and filled their SG lacking.

If I was a Minny fan, I would just have to hope and kinda think they'll realize during Jefferson's prime,
hey, we gotta get a damn defensive presence next to that star big man we've had

As well as from their quality 03-04 season, when defense, rebounding, and chemistry were the reasons they were the best team in the west.

But getting Mike Miller is a good veteran piece at SG, and if Lowry is actually in the deal as well, that's great because he's a really good complementary guard. Love Lowry.

For Memphis getting Mayo to go along with Gay and Conley/Crittenton, Arthur, and Warrick is fantastic... next they need to get some more going with the front-court.

Dammit!

I was so stoked to hear commentators say throughout the season:

"Love finds Gay" or "Gay finds Love" or "Love to Gay" or "Gay to Love" or "Love spots Gay in the corner"

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me all together. I don't think Memphis gets equal value in return in dumping Miller and Love. On top of tap, I think they were doing well between 1-3, while having a very week frontcourt. Address your biggest needs first. Perhaps they are still trying to find themselves and care more about getting someone who can mold in a franchise player instead? Well I guess one way or another it could work out for Memphis.

To me Minnesota made a so-so move. Miller could slow Brewer's development. Jefferson will still minutes away from Love.

I really expect Minnesota to make a few moves now, and focus on getting a real PG.
