Players you respect
and why. It doesn't have to be your favorite player
I'll go first:
AI/KG/Kobe: These are the most passionate guys in the league. They hate to lose and have a no quit attitude.
Tim Duncan: He's a winner. Fundamentally sound. People are just jealous.
Shaq: Even though he's an attention *****, he can back up his talk most of the time.
Lebron: He's good, people shouldn't hate.

Re: Players you respect
I'm not a fan of LeBron. But I respect his game and love to watch him play.
What I don't like is his massive ego and the way he carries himself on and off the court. He's not a bad guy, I just think he's way too full of himself.

manu ginobili. he's an elite guard, former champion, all time great international accomplishments, and he never complains about playing time/coming off the bench/injuries. he simply gives no excuses and gets the job done.

dwight howard because if i dont respect him and he finds out i dont want him to come find me and beat me down with those huge arms of his!
dikembe mutumbo also for the reason the above poster said and how he can still impact the game with his defense at his age.

i love stackjack but i dont know if i can respect that dude... for the obvious reasons. the player i respect the most is monta ellis. he learns from his mistakes, he's humble and very coachable, listens to players older than him despite any reason.

Re: Players you respect
Shaq - dude straight up brings it.
Kobe - plays like a tiger. hate him but he lives through all the **** talk about him and performs
LeBron - deals with bad supporting cast and still brings it.
Kelenna Azubuike - knows how to play the game and hustle and still brings quiet passion.
Stephen Jackson - simply one of the most passionate about everything in his life
Terrell Owens - plays football and basketball.

Ray Allen - Never complains just does his job everyday
Chris Bosh - Always says the right things and is the true definition of a leader.
Yao Ming - He has such pride for his country that he willing to put everything on the line for them , unlike Jamal Magloire when he was nice.

Re: Players you respect
Actually, there are 3 NBA players that I respect a lot
1/ Grant Hill: a very talented guy, humble, who was injury-prone, and who managed his come-back in the NBA. I really hope he'll grab an NBA title one of these days! But time is running out...
2/ Ray Allen: I love his shot. He plays smartly on the court. Can create his own shoot very easily.
3/ Lamar Odom: an all-around player, he does it all on the court. Very impressive, can score, rebound, pass, steal, block...
