Lue: 43.7% FG shooter, 38.9% 3PT shooter
House: 40.8% FG shooter, 38.3% 3PT shooter
House shoots a few more 3's per 36 minutes (5.6 vs. 3.3), but it's not like Lue is afraid to shoot. And Lue is much better at dribbling, passing, and scoring off the dribble.

Let's stop pretending like they took discounts to come here last year too. Nobody was offering more or they would have taken it because it's not like we were without questionmarks coming into the season last year for them to think they could just come in and win it all or something. I'm sure other teams offered the same as we did or around it, and then they decided we had the best situation out of those other teams, but in no way do I think they passed up on better offers.

Re: Bulpett: House has long term offer
Both Posey and House could have gone else where last year for more money but ultimately decided to come to Boston to do something special. They contributed and should be brought back at a reasonable price and raise.
No. They signed with us because they knew we would be good - and thus showcase their talents. From a business perspective so far it's proving a wise decision. Had Posey toiled another year down in Miami - with his team stinking do you think he would have commanded a MAX MLE 4 year deal?! Hell no.
Likewise House was a journeyman player - coming off a decent year on a rather mediocre NJ team. He probably would not get mutiple years either. GMs are reacting to the flavors of the month.
I liked both players - I thought the were underrated coming here. But now they are being overrated and overpaid. That's a predictable result when you get so much face time on a world championship team. I suspect Ainge new this would happen..

Well Lue signed with another team so it doesn't matter now. House is the best backup point left out there imo. I guess Marbury is a better player, but no way is he a better fit. He'd want to start or at least play a lot of minutes. He wouldn't be happy playing only 15 mpg.
Bring back House, give him 2 years.

I'd go as high as 4yrs/10-12mill---backloaded of course
Eddie always disappeared in the big games before knocking down some huge shots
in huge situations this year---he has gotten to the next level
and is now worth some money and years

Re: Bulpett: House has long term offer
I don't know, next year isn't our last and we don't want to strip our cap paying for this year when we could spend more wisely next year.
Giving House 2 mil this year (essentially the Bi price) may cost going full MLE and overpaying someone for next year.
House is now among the top contenders for backup PG position, but depending on how confident Ainge is with our team and who we bring in you never know who is the best. If Ainge looks and sees that Ricky Davis is his best option. Well then maybe for PG he goes with teh vet min for Darell Armstrong and hands the keys over to Pruitt for backup PG since Ricky will provide plenty of offense and would be better complimented by an on-ball defender like Darell in the playoffs rather then a pure shooter like House at a higher price.
Who knowes what's going on but since Lue's gone, now it may be down to Armstrong,House,Williams. Lots of ways our team could go and I don't think it will happen till August like last year that we will actually know when teh first chip falls.
