if coughlin had a pair he'd go for it and do away with this game
and thank you michael the burner turner for not just getting that 4th and goal td but also the garbage time td that helps me get closer to a fantasy victory i desparately need. ive gotten some terrible breaks the past 2 weeks and now im finally get a couple things going my way. of course the other guy still has brees, chambers and shockey going. hopefully my 37 point lead and lance moore is enough to hold that off

I'm 100% sure that Detroit will go 0-16 this year. Their last 4 games are against teams that are fighting for playoff positions, and sure as hell won't rest the first-teamers.
Their best shot for a victory, IMO, is against the Vikings in two weeks, especially since they'll have that 10 day rest.

I think Burner Turner has answered any questions. With a rookie quarterback and shaky blocking he is putting up Pro Bowl numbers. Once teams start respecting Ryan more and Baker gets back into the lineup he will be even better.

martellus bennett with the line of the day here
when asked if he caught the terrell owens interview on nfl network he responded, "I don't know what y'all are talking about," Bennett said. "I got Time Warner."

Re: Official Week 12 Thread (Non-Primetime)
Quick hits:
--Philly was right to pull McNabb and Cleveland was right to pull Brady. Neither guy had even their "B" games. I wish NFL coaches would do that kind of stuff more often. Then again, both teams lost and had any and all hopes for the rest of the year flushed away.
--I was real impressed with how Tampa handled falling behind 17-0. No panic at all, not really even any heated discussions or sideline rants. Their professionalism was great. Well, except for Davin Joseph, who could have been flagged for at least 4 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. That guy is a cheap shot artist extraordinaire. I love how Bill Carollo (the referee) made a point to seek out Chuck Darby after the game and apologize for not seeing Jeremy Trueblood take 7 steps with his hand yanking Darby's facemask after the fumble recovery. Some truly dreadful officiating--it didn't decide the game, mind you--that is getting real old.
--For the record, I have correctly forecast every single Panthers game this year, and I'm now 10-1 on the Patriots and Lions and 9-2 on the Rams, 49ers, and Cowboys. You can ignore my Broncos and Browns picks, a combined 3-19.
--Denver WTF?!? and JL HIgging FTW, two weeks in a row.
--Bears fan had better not get too excited over that nice win, because St. Louis would lose to Detroit by 14+ points the way they've been playing the last month.
--I thought the Giants secondary was the big difference in that game. They did a lot of combo coverages and disguised their intentions well. That play by Phillips on Fitz in the end zone changed the game.
--the Kansas City DL just might be the worst positional unit in all of pro sports. I only watched bits and pieces of the game, but on three separate occasions I saw all 4 of them on the ground more than 3 feet back from the LOS. Some credit to Buffalo for not stepping off the gas. And Tyler Thigpen is the best 1st-2nd year QB not named Matt Ryan.

It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Iceness - how is that DT from LSU doing this year? His name escapes me at the moment.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

That wouuld be Glenn Dorsey, the #5 overall pick in the draft. He's been mostly nondescript with flashes of bustness. Plays way too upright for a DT, and part of that is because of his knee pain, and that sure looks like something that isn't going to go away.
