Should we push for Amare?
I think Bargnani be very good in the Suns system and Shaq could be a good mentor for them, we need all the firepower we can get to make sure Bosh stays. I think a Bosh and Amare front court could work we could send them JO, Bargnani for Amare. I do not want this to become a trade thread lets make this thread discussion on wheather Amare be good here or not. So please post your thoughts and let me know what you think.

Amare would be good. But not with CB. With Bargnani.

I'm not one to nitpick about threads but... I swear there's already a thread with people talking about trading for Amare.

Re: Should we push for Amare?
Trade Bosh for Amare in that deal try and get Barbosa for Kapono(LOL that will be hard I know we might have to give a 2nd or something)
Then Trade JO and Moon for Marion Banks and a pick and we are the new Suns.

Re: Should we push for Amare?
If we to somehow send Calderon+Bargnani+Parker for him and then bring in Marion, we have a very good front court and then say we draft DD.
Amare
Bosh
Marion
DeRozan
Ukic
Be very good.

No. Suns will probably only want Bosh in return. And if Bosh for Amare happens, team just keeps chasing its tail.

And in the summer of 2010 when Bosh and Amare both leave as free agents, how good will that lineup look.
2019 will never be forgotten because FLAGS FLY FOREVER

Pretty Crappy but lets say we bring in Nash to, how sexy would that line-up look then?

Stoudewhiner is the kind of player i hate in the NBA, plays no defence, has a primadonna attitude, whines and bitches all the time and is simply annoying. If we ever trade Bosh for Stoudewhiner i would really consider not watching the raptors until he gets traded away.

Bosh is not a guarantee to leave in 2010, why do people keep pushing this notion as fact. I'd still say it's more likely he re-signs despite what we've been hearing recently.

Re: Should we push for Amare?
Wait so this board complains about Bosh not playin defense and wants to get Amare? or in the OP's case team him up with Bosh? Amare and Bosh duo doesn't work, both would need to many touches and neither makes others on their team better ... if Phoenix Suns couldn't win in their prime what makes you think there going to win when they are all old .... If Bosh is going to be traded, only teams that make sense are Atlanta and Portland. We can get a young big (horford or LMA), a young wing (Marvin or Rudy) and possible a pick ... Since those teams would be contenders, we try to send Kapono as long as a 3pt specialist for a contender ... Bosh for Amare is at best a lateral move, that is BEST case scenerio ....

Re: Should we push for Amare?
Yes I think we should!
a lineup of
C: JO
PF: Bosh
SF: Amare
SG: Bargnani
PG: Parker <--- more size than Jose so he gets the nod
that lineup is deadly! do it BC
Trade what other assets we have, and go get Amare! therefore the vision of playing versatile big men will be realized!

Prediction
Spurs in 7. Parker MVP. Lebron 6-17fg, 18pt, 8reb, 5 asst in game 7 LOSS.
The Heat will choke!

Re: Should we push for Amare?
Personally, I would not want Amar’e Stoudemire over Chris Bosh at this moment. Amar’e is no better than Bosh on defense, and currently people criticize Bosh for his defense. Imagine what the fans would say about Amare’s defense once he comes to Toronto. Amar’e is like Chris Bosh 2.0, but the only thing that differentiates between those two is that Amar’e can actually post-up unlike Bosh. Overall, I would have to say Chris Bosh is a better basketball player in my opinion because he is a more efficient scorer and rebounder than Amar’e. On a side note, Chris Bosh is younger than Amar’e Stoudemire by 2 years and still has a lot of room to improve his game.

also like to add, Amare had microfracture knee surgery and those can complicate his future, his surgery was successful but you never know ...

Re: Should we push for Amare?
Right now Bosh and Stoudamire are pretty much the same player. Talented forwards who don't defend, or rebound as well as they could. Both whine bitch and complain. Both want to be the man, but they're really not.
If there really is a chance in hell of bosh going we obviously need a star that people recognize in return. I'd prefer some young talented unknowns who play defense, but that would never happen.
Carmelo Anthony would be nice, but i don't know how serious denver would ever be about trading him. He may not play much defense, but at least he doesn't play bad d like bosh, and then tell his teammates to play better d. That's bosh in a nutshell....he thinks he's someone he's really not.
My first choice would be the number one pick, but i don't know if anyone would trade the first overall pick(likely to be griffin) for bosh and our first pick which is still in the top 10 or 12.
Personally i say trade o'neal for marion soon as possible. If he wants to stay fine. If not fine. Then sit and watch to see if bargnani gets any better as the season progresses. The raps aren't contenders so they should be evaluating the trade value of all their players. And if you can trade bargnani for an athletic young wing player who doesn't mind defending someone, please do so as soon as a good one comes along.

to anyone saying that a prime suns couldn't win the ship so therefore we shouldnt try to emulate them neglects the fact that the years they lost was due to the ref fixing the games. Tim Donaghy even admitted to fixing the spurs/suns game. Not to mention Amare and others were suspended when they got off the bench when Horry body checked Nash.

Re: Should we push for Amare?
Bargnani
Amare
Bosh
Graham
Calderon
Is very athletic and a good scoring team, if Amare doesn't work we can just ship him out for a propect, pick, and expiring maybe something from Portland like Fernandez, Outlaw, and filler?
Bargnani
Bosh
Outlaw
Fernandez
Calderon
Is way better than what we have right now.

If it's Bosh, I'd rather trade for a wing player. Trading a big for another big will still force the Raptors to play 3 bigs on the court.

Re: Should we push for Amare?
I agree with most of this board that Bosh and Amare together would be a huge mistake. There would be a lot of new Toronto fans if he was teamed up with Jose and Bargs. With a couple more pieces you would have an incredible running team.
With that said, Portland would possibly be interested in getting in on the action. Phoenix fans want Aldridge. They think he would be the perfect compliment to Shaq. Portland fans love Aldridge but recognize that Bosh has a better all around game. If Toronto was really interested in Amare would your fan base be open to a three way with them as the principals?
The tough part would be the fillers as both Toronto and Phoenix fans would be fighting it out for the best of the filler. Obviously Portland would have to add Raefs expiring, which Phoenix wants. It seems to be accepted that Fernandez could be given up in a Bosh deal, but Portland would have to get a back up SG some how. Portland also has the expirings of Frye/Diogu. Just opening up a bit of dialogue to see what other fans are thinking. Cheers!
