OFFICIAL: radmanovic for morrison

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)—The Charlotte Bobcats sent struggling forward Adam Morrison and reserve Shannon Brown to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday for forward Vladimir Radmanovic.

The move is the third trade the Bobcats have made this season in a roster shakeup under first-year coach Larry Brown.

Morrison was the third overall pick of the 2006 draft and managing partner Michael Jordan’s first major move since buying into the Bobcats. But Morrison had failed to crack the starting lineup and his minutes had declined under Brown.

Morrison will give the Lakers an outside shooting threat, while the 6-foot-10 Radmanovic gives the Bobcats more depth up front.

LOL. I think it's gonna be laughed at regardless.

WTF are the Bobcats doing with that roster? Seriously. They've got absolutely no vision for that team. They just continue to make random trade after random trade, hoping it'll work out. Sometimes they have, most of the times they don't.

Whatever.

I'm actually a bit surprised to see the Lakers dump a more proven veteran player when they are trying to win a title. Was shaving a year off VladRad's deal worth it??? Then again if Morrison can at least perform up to Vlad's level it's a solid trade.

Who is the bobcats GM, cause he should be taken out back and beaten. I mean the first trade with pawning off richardson for frikin Diaw and Bell was terrible, now this?! What is he doing?

All part of the Bobcats' 3010 cap plan.

LOL. At one point in the past, Laker fans hated Kupchak. He looks like a genius right now.

radman isn't even part of the regular rotation. luke/ariza get all the sf minutes.

It's so simple to see the thought process of Charlotte. Morrison, the third player taken in the draft was taken ahead of Brandon Roy, the sixth player taken. Therefore, Morrison > Roy. Now Morrison is traded pretty much straight up for Radmanovic so the thought process for Charlotte is to get Radmanovic to think he is better than Roy.

Regardless of the one extra year of the contract, Radmonivich is 25x the player Morrison is(if you can even call that shmuck a player).

I thought this was a joke at first. Great trade for the Lakers even though I'm not an Adam Morrison fan.
