well, its not that bad. people exaggerating a bit. morrison is awful, borderline not even nba worthy. they got a better player, but took on one extra yr. don't know what else they could have gotten.

Exactly, how is L.A. so giddy to get someone as TERRIBLE as Morrison?

Morrison's ceiling is Radmonovich. Just a salary dump for the Lakers.

Beno Udrih is tradeable, no doubt.

What an awful trade for the Bobcats, I can't believe that.

well, one of the financial benefits of trading a 3yr contract for a 2 yr contract is that now its a lot easier to resign ariza and odom. as far as their on court contributions, radman isn't even in the rotation, so its not that big of a deal.

This is true! I have hope now! If Radmanovic can be traded, so can Beno! :D

i'm sure the kings could find a team with a terrible player on a 4 yr deal to take on udrih's 5 yr deal.

Its really not all that bad for the Bobcats. To start, no big name free agent will ever sign with Charlotte, at least not any time soon, so cap room really isn't that big of a deal to them. To go with that, they are competing for the playoffs and this trade will get them closer to it. Radmonavic is overpayed, but he has playoff experience and is a huge upgrade over Morrison.

Everyone knocked the Jason Richardson trade, including me, but that has turned out great for the Bobcats. I have a feeling this will too.

Please.

What this does is insure that the Bobcats will continue to be mediocre.

No vision. Again.

Wow! Another great job by Mitch! Morrison is a project and maybe he doesn't pan out but Shannon Brown is just the type of player that excels under Phil. Strong gaurd and tough. He could maybe play some good minutes at the point and provide some D at the position.

The last thing you'll get from shannon brown is some D.

Radmanovic is way better than the package given and fitted well with the Lakers, can shoot, can pass, decent defense on bigs. I wouldn't rate this as a good trade for the Lakers. Yes.... upside (if u choose to see it, I don't) and better contracts but when you're chasing a title does it really matter? It's not even going to help them this off-season.

For those of you who dunno, MJ's not the GM.

Yes, Richardson deal was bad but I'm not going to say that this one is. Clearly got the better player and given the Bobcats' current construction, long-term contracts aren't a problem. So, good for them. Morrison looked certain to not pan out so there was no point in keeping him for his rights.

Bobcats' roster is much better constructed now regardless of the Richardson deal.

Are you kidding me? Richardson for Boris & Raja was great for us! You won't find ANY Bobcats' fan disliking that trade...until Crash went down we'd won 5 of 6, culminating with an OT win against the Lakers in OT! At that point we were playing with the 4th best defense in the league.

Morrison is total crap. He's gotten every opportunity yet he has no "confidence". Cutting bait with him is all that was left to do. I'm amazed we got anyone breathing for him.

kind of like a weaker version of the Magic now:
D12/Okafor
Lewis/Diaw
Turk/Vlad
Pietrus/Bell
Jameer/Felton

Since with Charlotte:

Diaw: 46% FG/45% from 3...7 Reb...5 assists...15 pts
Bell: 47% FG/38% from 3...90% FT...4 Reb...3 assists...14 pts

Last 10 games for Bell:

Bell: 51% FG/39% from 3...89% FT...4 Reb...3 assists...18 pts

Bell has also brought great defense as guys like OJ Mayo and Brandon Roy can attest to. He might not be as good as he was in his prime but he's still one of the better SG defenders in the league.

Yeah...that trade sucked for us.

Brown had a big part in the win against LA so maybe the small sample size I have seen of him was one of his best games. And Charlotte should be happy about this deal too. Morrison obviously was sucking it up there. Radman is talented and will probably do much better in CHA. But Larry Brown better watch out, his ego is very sensitive as Phil has figured out. LA really did not use him much and Phil never trusted him. This is mostly a good deal for LA because everybody on this board was convinced he was untradeable. Maybe Morrison doesn't work out and this will just be good financially but a good move regardless. And if one of the two work out better in LA than it will be a great trade just like the Ariza deal.

Its funny how all these damn ass people come on here and knock the Bobcats for this trade when there is a thread entitled " What is Adam Morrsion's trade value?"...and damn near everyone in that thread said he had none...now we got what we could for him and they still have something negative to say....if any of you have actually watched or followed the bobcats every game like I have, Big Slam, spectre and the rest of us Bobcats have you would know that he was given every chance to show something, anything and he didnt....The JRich -Bell/Diaw trade was great for us we are a much better team now as Diaw filled a need we had at the 4 and Bell has taken over what JRich was doing by drilling 3's with better defense our biggest hole now is the bench and Morrison was given every chance to be a major part of that and he seemed either incapable, scared or both... We arent expected Vlad to be an allstar but we didnt give up one either so dont act like we did, what we want is someone off the bench to knock down the shot...hell not be afraid to take the shot which Morrison was.... This is good trade for us.....
