One thing is for damn sure.
This is a year where Deng better not go down. We're going to need him. Especially early on.

Re: Chicago Bulls Schedule Leaked
Typical Bulls schedule - Brutal for stretches, especially beginning, with a soft finish. Some thoughts:
Maybe its just me, but the two road stretches are particularly bad this year. Two 7 game road trips isn't that unusual for Chicago (though one is sometimes only 6 games). But its the bigger chunks around them. The Bulls start with 10 road games in their first 15. Then, take a look at what surrounds the second road trip. There's a 19 game stretch there with 14 on the road!
19 back-to-backs seems a bit high. But the thing that stood out to me most was that at one point we have 3 back to backs in a row, and at another there are 4 back-go-bakcs in a row. That has to be a little unusual. Oh, and the season starts with a back-to-back against 2 of the top 5 teams in the NBA. Thanks! (Actually, that's going to be fun to watch.)
No Christmas game. I wasn't expecting to get one, but I thought there might be a slim chance due to the popularity of the Boston series coupled with their large viewing markets.
All in all, I predict the standard: The Bulls "seeding" will fluctuate greatly throughout the season as the schedule goes through its peaks and valleys.
I am surprised that we start with SA instead of Boston. I suspect the SA game is the non-nationally televised opening day game (there is usually one or two of those) follwed by the Boston game on national TV for the second night of the season.

I counted 22. So nearly 54% of our games are back to backs... just doesn't seem right at all.19 back-to-backs seems a bit high.
If you exclude the all star break, February is almost all back to backs. But the thing that stood out to me most was that at one point we have 3 back to backs in a row, and at another there are 4 back-go-bakcs in a row.
The schedule to me doesn't seem the typical easy finish we usually get.

Re: Chicago Bulls Schedule Leaked
I made a thread to predict the schedule. The nice thing is that in the last week of the season we get a lot of teams who will most likely be resting their guys (Cleveland, Boston, etc).

Re: Chicago Bulls Schedule Leaked
I sense we're going to get destroyed early on in the season. It's going to be terrible. Opening up against San Antonio (a team who's widely expected to be in the Western Conference Finals) then against a pissed off Boston Celtics team that's probably going to be televised on national tv on their home court.
Also, 22 back to backs is A LOT.

Interesting news blurb from the nba site: http://www.nba.com/2009/news/08/03/teams.fined.ap/index.html
The link posted in the op didn't work for me. But if the url is right, it was posted on the nba page?
Sounds like the time the Cubs posted that Don Baylor was hired before the official announcement.
NEW YORK (AP) -- The NBA has fined three teams an undisclosed amount for leaking details of their schedules before the league released them.
The Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves were penalized, an official with knowledge of the decisions told The Associated Press on Monday. The official requested anonymity because the fines weren't publicly announced.
The NBA will release its 2009-10 schedule on Tuesday afternoon. The league forbids teams to release any details before then.

Re: Chicago Bulls Schedule Leaked
1 word "BRUTAL". That's a pretty darn Brutal schedule for this young team. Before we even get our feet wet, we go on a one of the toughest road trip and look at all those teams we will be facing??? This schedule wouldn't look as tough if we did trade for Boozer but as it stands, we will dig a DEEP DEEP hole early on and will be playing catch-up the rest of the way.
I see us with a really bad record and if Vinny doesn't improve this team, I see him getting fired by Christmas (Skiles Style).
My original prediction of 45 wins is looking sooooooooooooooo bad right now. I will have to change it to 40 (if we are healthy and assuming no major trade).
