Re: [Game Thread] Zombieland vs. Houston
Too many things to watch tonight with the Ducks, Blazers and the World Series
but yes, the correct decision was to watch the Ducks. Too bad the Ducks have
little chance at getting into the discussion for a national championship unless
Boise State loses and probably Texas loses for Florida or Alabama (SEC Champion)
winners look to be in the title game. Oregon is playing awfully well and
perhaps only Florida could beat them now.

Just got back from the Duck game (God I'm stoked) and wtf happened? Roy and LMA went off, Oden looked to be in foul trouble but did decent...what went wrong?
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

In order for Portland to take the next step and become an elite team, they have to get more out of Greg Oden. He was not drafted No.1 overall to be a garbage-collecting, role-playing center.

I guess those of us who were saying that pre-season play did mean something were on to something.
Only having one good game out of 7 games was not enough preparation for the regular season

They could not stop the Rockets on defense. Look at their shooting %s. They stayed very close most of the game though. Then in the 4th, Rudy performed his neat, "I am a TrailBlazer, therefore I will brick two critical free throws in cruch time, it's what we do" routine. After that, it all went to ****.
Ariza and Brooks just abused the Blazers pathetic perimeter defense. Basically, we were as bad on defense tonight as we were on offense Thursday.

You should tell that to our coach.

That's something else that falls on Nate shoulders. He should have never been playing so many lineups - he should have put Miller/Roy/Batum/LMA/Oden out there from the start and tried to get them all chemistry and on the same page. If that lineup truly did not work it would have been so much easier to revert back to the lineup of Blake/Roy/Batum(Webster)/LMA/Oden(or Joel for some reason) than it is to try to do it the other way.
Just a bad call by Nate with how he handled preseason rotations and lineups.

And F Travis Outlaw, that bozo is dumber that a sack of rocks and STILL constantly blows his defensive assignments. Why the hell does Nate keep playing him? We really need to tighten the rotation down, and bench our pansies.
That's a 9 man rotation. Give Howard and Bayless a go.
Miller/Fernandez
Fernandez/Bayless
Roy/
LA/Howard
Oden/Pryzbilla

I think it is funny with all of the replies in here. Some of them remind them of me, which makes them so great.

I tend to agree with that
and the unsettled PG rotation is actually hurting both Blake and Miller in my view
and a subject that should be broached is just how wise it is to have more then one euro player in the rotation.
Their national commitments are in conflict with their NBA play in my view. It's just too much basketball. Rudy and Batum hardly played in the pre-season.

Except Martell has, thus far, proven that he deserves a spot in the regular playing rotation. So you bring in Bayless who hasn't proven anything.... and sit Martell. Why?
