Ptown: Glad to see you resort to calling me names. Look, I didn't say I wanted to see him get hurt, of course not. All I'm saying is that, How is this a surprise to anyone ? I mean the guy is a nice guy yes. Very good character no doubt. But HE is very brittle. I mean do I lie ? Are his Injuries due to people landing on him, or under-cutting him ?....No!! But still, even with that, he is extremely lucky, Injury or not. He gets PAID! If I HAD to feel sorry for anyone it would be for Pritchard of Portland. He some how
convinced himself that Oden was going to be a " Franchise " player. Hell I KNEW Oden was going to be just a decent player at best, and a continuing Injury waiting to happen. But hey, if I had a 100 million dollar contract like he does, I could take constant hits to my knees with a sledge hammer all day, and still smile, and NOT weep ONCE!

I don't want to see anyone injured ever. But, unlike Millions upon houndreds of millions of people in this country,,,I'm pretty sure Oden HAS Good Health Insurance    So he should be Happy with that.

That Nicka wrote:Yao and Oden both out for the season.. 2 of the NBAs top 10 centers

and 2 of the few true centers in the NBA and we lost them to injures..

I feel bad for Oden and blazers fans, This is Just Another Unfortunate injury.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

the injury video was not that bad at all

Oden looked like he was starting to put it together, its a shame he's so injury prone...

I hope Oden makes a full recovery. I'm not a Blazer fan but you can't help but root for the guy, he's such a nice kid with a good head on his shoulders.

150 million Americans are without a job? WTF... That's like 50% of our population which simply isn't true.

It is 50% of the population and it is true. :nonono:

That really sucks. Reminds me of Penny hardaway, Tmac, and Grant Hill, and most of all Jay Williams who we never really got to see play.

This is terrible news. I think that Big Z should reach out to him. I doubt he will, but it would be a nice gesture coming from a guy who broke a franchise record for games played and who had missed entire seasons in his early career.

Actually, as he specified 'under the age of 50', it would mean 65-75% unemployment.

No it's not. It's more like 10% if you take out kids and seniors.

Would you be the same ignorant hater if Oklahoma took Greg at 2 instead?
Would they be arrogant too if they took him?
What a moron.

Well I searched "150 million Americans without a job" and the 6th search option was this thread. That settles it.

Extremely sad and unfortunate for Oden and the Blazers, hopefully this is the last time he gets injured, although very unlikely...get well soon Greg.

he's done

what he needs is internal fixation to put the knee cap back. He is going to have ridiculous arthritis for the rest of his playing life. He won't be able to jump at all.

I just think it makes more sense that if there are 304,000,000 people in the United States, and 139,000,000 have jobs, then unemployment is at 50+%
