Emoni Bates has transferred from Memphis to Eastern Michigan.

The star from Ypsilanti, Michigan, released a list of six schools in early May, a group that included Michigan, Arkansas, Seton Hall, DePaul and Louisville as well as Eastern Michigan. 

Bates was the No. 1 recruit in the 2022 class until he reclassified last summer and ended up at No. 3 in 2021.

Bates originally committed to Michigan State in the summer of 2020 and then reopened his recruitment in April 2021, but it was widely expected Bates would skip college and play professionally. But after reclassifying from 2022 to 2021, he committed to Memphis.

Robert Dillingham announced his commitment to Kentucky on Friday.

Dillingham is currently ranked as the No. 5 recruit in the 2023 class by ESPN.

"If you put in the work at Kentucky and Coach Cal thinks you are good enough to make it, then it will happen for you," Dillingham told ESPN. "When I visited Kentucky, it was incredible. They explained everything. The basketball, academics, strength and conditioning, NIL."

Dillingham originally committed to NC State, though he reopened his recruitment last March.

Dillingham gives Kentucky their second top-30 guard in the class, alongside Reed Sheppard. 

Matas Buzelis, who is the No. 11 player in ESPN's Top 100 for the Class of 2023, has committed to the G League Ignite for the 23-24 season.

Buzelis will bypass college basketball and sign into the NBA's professional pathway program once he graduates from Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas next spring

Buzelis had narrowed his college choices to Kentucky, North Carolina, Florida State and Wake Forest.

Caleb Swanigan has passed away at the age of 25.

Swanigan was the Big Ten Player of the Year and a consensus first-team All American during his sophomore season at Purdue.

Swanigan was the 26th overall pick in 2017 and played three NBA seasons.

Four-star recruit Dior Johnson announced his commitment to Pittsburgh on Monday, according to Jonathan Givony of ESPN.

Johnson, the No. 35 recruit in his class, picked Pitt over a group that included Washington State and Mississippi State.

Johnson recently decommitted from Oregon.

Johnson played at several high schools, including Findlay Prep, IMG and Oak Hill Academy.

Sports media company Overtime is sending a team to compete in this year's The Basketball Tournament that runs from July through August.

The team features Amen and Ausar Thompson, who are projected as top-10 picks in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The winner of TBT will win a $1 million prize.

The Overtime Elite team will also feature projected second-round pick Jazian Gortman, along with several former NBA and G League players.

The team will be coached by Corey Frazier and Marc Hughes.

The Arizona Board of Regents has approved a five-year contract extension between the school and head coach Tommy Lloyd.

Lloyd will receive a $1 million raise for next season, in addition to $19 million in total compensation.

Lloyd lead Arizona to a 34-3 record and a Sweet 16 appearance in his first season with the team.

John Calipari added K.T. Turner to round out his coaching staff with the Kentucky Wildcats.

Turner, who has almost 20 years of experience, was an associate head coach at Oklahoma last season under Porter Moser.

"K.T. has done an excellent job of recruiting Texas, which has always been good to us, and has a terrific ability to connect with young people," released Calipari in a statement.

Turner replaces Jai Lucas, who left for Duke, on Calipari's staff.

Duke men's basketball head coach Jon Scheyer hired Rachel Baker in a newly created general manager role for the program.

Baker's position is described as helping players "enhance their personal and professional skillsets," which includes overseeing NIL opportunities for players.

Baker previously spent eight years at Nike, working grassroots partnerships and event strategy for the Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL).

Baker also spent a year working with the NBA to rebrand the WNBA. 

Baba Miller, the top international prospect in the incoming college class, has committed to Florida State, he told ESPN on Monday.

"I could see an actual family at Florida State," Miller said. "I saw a very close relationship between everyone. That was a big part of my decision."

The 18-year-old, 6-foot-11 small forward from Spain is considered one of the top international prospects committing to the college route in the class of 2022. He picked Florida State over Gonzaga, visiting both schools last week with his father.

Miller spent most of this season with Real Madrid's B team in the EBA league, averaging 11.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in 24 minutes while shooting 69% from 2-point range and 35% for 3.
