You can't blame anyone for taking an Alabama job. But I hope we don't ever go back to the era where Wisconsin is notorious for not paying for assistants.

Probably their best era in recent times. They went from Aranda to Wilcox to Leonhard. Histchler seems like a pretty big loss, but the program has done well by finding new, good talent.

He also tweeted about Iowa today. And it looks like he's done the same thing in the past for other schools that offered?
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

The worst unit in the sport was the unit he coached last season. Cool cool cool.
That said, he recruited some NFL talent. And

And despite what happened at USC, Grinch has been a highly successful coach. He is a four-time nominee and two-time semifinalist for the Broyles Award, given annually to the nation’s top assistant coach.

I don't know a ton about him but he wouldn't be the first coach who was a solid position coach that couldn't hack it as a coordinator

Sounds like he's heading to Notre Dame.
I know it's beating a dead horse here but I love what Fickell has done so far but missing the top 3 in state recruits and every single composite 4 star in b2b years is underwhelming. Feels like we could really have something if Fickell & his staff could make in roads in state but for some reason he's really struggled with that aspect

It's hard to tell what the deal is, if it's NIL or that Fickell "isn't a hometown guy."
Chryst lost a bunch of these guys at the end.
I know a bunch of these there have been some weird "Wisconsin didn't want them anyways" or "Wisconsin had no chance anyways" sort of things, so it's really hard to tell if this is a Fickell thing, an overall trend due to NIL and such, or just a random blip.
I guess I don't care if Fickell is getting comparable players elsewhere.

Would be a hell of a get. He's been predicted to go to OSU for a while.

Just saw that. That'd be awesome
